The reason being that the Pelicans have to work out a way to clear the salary of Asik, likely with a trade of Austin Rivers or Eric Gordon. I'm hearing speculation of Austin Rivers to the Clippers, which would be fun to see if for no other reason than Dad coaching Son.

Not going to happen though, would be insane. Especially since they just got Napier.

Woah, that would be great for Miami, Lowry was incredible last season...the only thing is though, it's very hard for me to see Melo going to the Heat. I think that Houston, Chicago or possibly even Dallas are more realistic destinations if he is going to leave New York.

Not coming to Dallas, he apparently didn't want to play with Chandler or Felton. Houston and Chicago yeah, they'd be wonderful fits. Except for Harden and Melo....

Opting out gave them more cap space to operate. It'd basically allow them to re-sign the big 3 at a pay cut and another FA. I'd try to ditch Wade though personally, even move Bosh if you had to keep Wade. Miami's bench is what murdered them in the Finals, as well as having nobody outside LBJ step up.
