Wow, there are no words. How is what she's wearing relevant in the slightest? They are just clothes for goodness sake. If she can do the job that's all that matters. Absolutely disgusting tweet from The Sun, expected no less to be honest. And I don't need to elaborate on the moron who replied.

The UK is absolutely horrible at the moment.

Fatima Manji's reply, quite appropriately btw in light of MacKenzie's relationship, is in the Liverpool Echo here

Perfect summation of my feelings but can't believe the Guardian's piece was somewhat putting into the vacuum of free speech and debate rather than call it out for what it was. Disappointing.

What else would you expect from the Sun or the British public at this point? Disgusting.

Man, sold four items on ebay totalling £45 yet after deductions for fees and postage, it's probably whacked my profit margin in half!

Also, anyone know since when mobile numbers (what I've seen on the ebay app) are included on the buyer's contact details? Assuming it's the same for sellers?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the hefty fees. As eBay and Paypal take a share, it's near impossible to make a decent return on any small items. I sold a book on eBay for £4 a few months ago and after postage, packaging, Paypal charges and eBay charges, I was left with a return of 78p. Of course, postage and packaging prices aren't controlled by eBay but many buyers are put off by items which don't have free P&P, so it's very difficult to sell something at all unless you foot the bill for the delivery. You're given a choice between 78p or nothing.

I'd suggest car booting any items worth less than £10. Cash in hand, no listing and withdrawal fees. Sorted.

Yeah, I know but something about eBay that is still alluring and persuades me to sell there!

Also, my Maths is fucking shit. I got a G in it for a reason and at the age of 30, I want to improve it as I'm having near enough stresses at work when it comes to numbers at work. Not too sure, besides an evening course, where to get started? I think a classroom environment might suit more than online learning

Any tips much appreciated

Have you tried your local college? Many offer GCSE Maths evening courses, you might have to pay for it though.

You could also try Learn Direct, which is free and you'd get a recognised qualification from City and Guilds at the end of it. http://www.learndirect.com/maths-englis ... lification

I've been offered a job in London, which I've (provisionally) accepted. Scary times.

Nice one mate, what's the job? I'm starting Argos on Monday, it's like half an hour away, not too scary. :lol

The Leavers are kicking off about Brexit. They wanted the UK parliament to have the final say on UK matters, now they're doing just that and Leavers have deemed them "enemies of the people" lmao.

Firework Night has become Firework Month it seems. It sounds very "get off my lawn" but the fireworks started here about 2 weeks ago and haven't bloody stopped.

I'm also in a bad mood as the bloke nextdoor thought it would be a good idea to begin a monumental DIY project at 8am. On my day off. Bellend.

Yes but good to see some sections of the press handle it responsibly like publishing the photos of the three judges on the front page, The Sun darkening Gina Miller's skin colour and their ironic headline. Typical Sun/Express/Mail bollocks.

I don't particularly mind Firework Night compared to the annoyince of Halloween, but the switching off the front lights does do the trick so that's me satisfied

Christmas not far away either, you guys preparing your presents or counting down to the last-minute job? @Hanley had bit of an unfortunate incident losing one of his presents

I found the presents actually. I had accidentally left a bag in the nearby Tesco and when I went back the next day, someone had handed it in. There are a few good souls around after all, it seems.

Whilst out walking a few years ago, I dropped my wallet which had £200 cash in it. An old lady found it on the street and called every person with my surname in the phonebook until she found my grandparents, who put her in contact with me.

I was expecting to never see the wallet or any of the money again, so I was incredibly surprised when I got the phone call from her saying she'd found it. I called round her house with a bouquet of flowers, she gave me my wallet and made me a cup of tea. We still send each other Christmas cards each year.

They're few and far between, but there's some genuinely good-hearted people out there.

Finding a place to rent is so bloody difficult. Every advert seems to have a twist.

"Lovely, homely double bedroom overlooking River Thames" - sharing with 3 art students. Bedroom is the size of a postage stamp. River Thames can be seen with a telescope.

"Newly furnished double bedroom, bills included! First month rent free!" - living with a "young aspiring DJ who works at home"

"Modern, stylish double bedroom, king size and ensuite" - furniture is university halls cast-offs. Living room is literally 4 school classroom chairs in an empty room. Ensuite looks like a portaloo.

I've had to deal with renting in Dublin for the last 6 years, so I feel your pain. Only this year did we finally end up somewhere that's actually really nice and feels like home, but we're paying an arm and a leg for it. And you're probably in the one city in the British Isles where the rent situation is more ridiculous than Dublin. I wish you luck, sir.
