This one isn't too difficult for me, but it may trigger some interesting debates in this tread as these are two very different matches with different atmospheres. Styles/Daniels/Joe is the embodiment of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, a incredibly memorable and unique match with a rate of action we probably won't see ever again. When I first this match, I was completely blown away. I had never seen anything like it. Taker/Edge isn't on the same level.
I gotta give Edge/Taker its due love though. I don't think there's ever been a match that I anticipated more than that one. I loved that feud and couldn’t wait to see it all come to a head at the grandest stage of them all. It’s a great match for sure. The beginning is kind of slow, but it definitely picks up towards the end with some dramatic near falls that were executed well. And the greatest referee sprint
OF ALL TIME.
However, there's two main reasons I can't vote for it here:
1.) It was simply outclassed by Undertaker's match with Shawn Michaels a year later.
2.) I did like Taker and Edge's Hell in a Cell match at Summerslam more.
So I feel like the impact of Taker/Edge has diminished somewhat since it first happened, whereas Joe/Styles/Daniels is still widely considered TNA's greatest and most famous match, and one of the best triple threat matches of all time. For all these reasons I think it deserves to advance more than Edge/Taker does. Triple threat gets my vote.
