He'll spend a lot of money for something he doesn't want. Publicity is publicity but it's just like burning cash. As rich as Trump is though I'm pretty sure he'd rather make it than waste it.

But if he did become President, they could do a season of the Apprentice where the winner becomes VP. That's good television.

I'd actually rather him be president than Ted Cruz, so there's that.

@EmperorWu

I'm not saying I'd vote for the guy (I wouldn't), but there are some fairly mainstream candidates with far more insane views than Trump.

Plus, Trump doesn't really want to be president anyway, so he doesn't stand a chance. He's just doing this for attention.

The amount of money he'll be spending will probably be less than the amount he makes. Especially if he has a 501c4 Super PAC set up, which I'm sure he does, since the donations to that are completely anonymous and I'm pretty sure he doesn't even actually have to spend the money he gets from that on campaigning because he doesn't have to declare any of it.

This is to make money and make sure the American people know his stupid ideas. Or maybe it's to benefit the GOP by making their candidates look stronger. Either way, he doesn't actually want the Oval Office.

I just want to quote this to point out the irony. I wonder if anyone has ever stopped to think about how many of this country's problems could be solved by taking the money used on political campaigns and instead spend it on solving those problems. Find a way to make running for president free or almost free and getting people with middle class common sense involved in the process.

^^^ Yeah it's unrealistic for society to put their selfish agendas aside for the betterment of mankind. I know that. It's really freaking sad.
