I knew it was gonna happen and I still marked out and got giddy as fuck. Rewound it and watched it 10 more times. Still giddy. Music could use some work but SAMOA FUCKING JOE IS ON NXT!

That return was great, and man Joe/Owens is like the perfect dream match for Joe. I hope he lost some weight cause a motivated Joe could have a pretty good run even at this point in his career. It's honestly surreal to see Sting and Joe in a WWE ring within one year.

They really need to change that theme of his. I marked out but it was hard to take him seriously at first with that theme.

Regardless, great debut and a great way to get around the Zayn injury. Joe, if he is in shape, should make for a fantastic opponent against Owens! I wonder where this leaves Balor. I was looking forward to Balor against Owens with this time, Balor deciding to bring the demon out against him.

Joe vs Balor vs Owens does sound like a freakin' epic main event, though.

I wonder what Owens retaining means for Owens/Cena. Seems like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object situation. It'll be huge if Owens beats Cena and walks around with both the NXT and US title belts. I think it's likely we'll get a non-finish though, DQ or count-out. It's kinda bizarre to have Owens doing this Cena thing when he's got so much going on in NXT. I really don't know what their overall plan is for him or for Cena's US title. Interesting times ahead.

It has to either end in an Owens win or a DQ finish. I think the best route would be for someone who is next in line in challenging Cena for the United States Championship to cost him the match. That way you set up a new feud for Cena and keep Owens strong.

It would be a terrible booking decision to have Owens lose because of how Owens' character operates. I'm a bit optimistic he won't lose but you never know. I don't see why they would even be doing this match if they were going to have Cena go over.

I thought I read somewhere that the US title wasn't going to be on the line in that match. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but if it is, that would indicate that Owens has a decent chance of winning.

After what happened at Takeover it wouldn't surprise me if Regal strips the belt off Owens and they use that as a way to bring him onto the main roster. It would suit Owens's character for something like that to happen as well, and lead to a permanent spot for him onto the main roster. Then they can have Balor and Joe slug it out for the belt!

I hated the finish.

Doing the non-finish to a match thing with Zayn AGAIN was just too much. It pissed me off. He's clearly not that injured, as he wrestled basically a full match. And even if he needs some time off, I would have been happier seeing him lose in a wrestling match followed by Owens wiping him out. It did nothing for Zayn or the match to have him act dead again. Up until the end it had been a fun match too.

As for the Joe debut, I'm excited. I think he can add a lot to the program. I don't think he debuted in the best way though. He should have been allowed to do something on his first night to make an impact. There will be some fans who don't know who he is, so he could have gotten himself over more as a badass by choking somebody out or giving a muscle buster. Dunno why they chose not to go that route really. It would have been easy, and it would have been effective.

I thought Takeover was very entertaining for the most part, but that was a shitty finish. They only do a handful of these shows per year. I don't want to have to wait 9 months for an actual ending to an NXT title match. Non-finishes are not what I watch big shows for.

Because his domination thing is done too much, without sufficient variation between matches, or back-and-forth within the individual matches. I find it really disheartening to watch.

I think this is maybe an example of the booking not fully considering the specifics of booking for NXT rather than WWE; i.e. the problem isn't necessarily the number of matches that have been this way, but the overall trend being carried on for too long in real time. In the end, I've just lost interest in the story.
