Playtonic's spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie is revealed!

They've been teasing this for a while on their twitter and whatnot but this is the first look we've got at the first game from Playtonic, the group of devs from golden era Rare who decided to make a new game. It was referred to as Project Ukelele and it seems the real title and character names (Yooka and Laylee) play off of that. They look charming enough for a first look, I'm all over this game when it comes out. Their Kickstarter is dropping tomorrow and I have no doubt they'll blow their funding goals out of the water.

Oh man. Banjo's team could really knock this one out of the park!
I actually really like the name and look, too.

This little bit of music got me a little sentimental, man.

Update, the game has been funded in no time at all. Nearly tripled their original goal and barreling through the stretch goals.

There's a gameplay trailer, some music and a load of screenshots on the Kickstarter page to take a look at. I'm looking forward to this game so much.

Oh man. Banjo was wonderful. I actually really want to play this. It feels like my childhood. I miss my childhood. When the days were bright and the darkness hadn't set into my soul :(

Save me.
