Upcoming games: which are you looking forward to most?

Postby Everlong » Apr 21, '15, 4:10 pm

Here are some big name upcoming games for 2015:

The Witcher 3
Batman: Arkham Knight
Dead Island 2
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Halo 5: Guardians
Star Wars Battlefront
Just Cause 3
Quantum Break
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Tom Clancy's The Division
King's Quest
Uncharted 4
No Man's Sky

Any others I'm forgetting?

I'm looking forward to seeing what Quantum Break is all about. The concept seemed really intriguing when they first debuted it at E3 in 2013, so it'll be interesting to see what that's all about. The Division I remember looking pretty fun at E3 last year. King's Quest I'm SUPER pumped about because I used to play the PC games as a kid and it's been years and years since they last put out a game.

In terms of franchise games, Battlefront is a definite buy for me, as is Tomb Raider, as I really enjoyed the reboot game in 2013. I'm sure I'll pick up Halo 5 at some point as well. Uncharted 4 would be one I'd be interested in if I had a playstation.

Batman: Arkham Knight. Cannot wait. I love those games. I still need to buy a PS4 though.

I will probably get The Witcher 3 eventually, but right now I don't really care about it. Not a priority purchase for me.

Of the games I would say I am most likely to get Day 1 or within a week of their release (basically, a priority purchase):

Batman: Arkham Knight
Rainbow Six Siege
Tom Clancy's The Division
Star Wars Battlefront
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Halo 4: Guardians
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Madden 16
WWE 2K16* (depends on if they reveal any major improvements to the career mode)

If I have my PS4 again by the time it is released (likely), then definitely Uncharted 4.

This is looking like a strong year for gaming. It has already started off well with strong releases like Dying Light and Battlefield Hardline (I disagree with the hate this game is getting from some people). I haven't played MKX but I have only heard GREAT things about it.

The Witcher 3 gives me a lot of reasons to be excited. I had a great time with the second game and the gameplay I've seen for this looks spot on. It seems that they are increasing the scale of the game without sacrificing the attention to detail and intimate design of a more linear game. That's something that Dragon Age Inquisition failed to do and it turned out rather mediocre, after that let down I'm counting on CD Projekt Red to put out something fantastic.

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain might be my most anticipated game of all time. All of the gameplay I've seen looks a lot of fun and there's plenty of interesting additions to the Ground Zeroes formula like the return of fulton recovery which you can use in very creative ways. I've gotten chills watching the promotional material for this game and I can't wait to see how the story pans out.

It's okay.

Actually, no. It's fucking shit. Singleplayer is shit. Multiplayer is shit. There's no reason to buy it when you can buy Battlefield 4 which is just better in every way and probably cheaper.

Bad maps, lack of guns, new modes are mostly shitty. Vehicles are lame. The lack of any real firepower mean teams can dominate with certain vehicles. The theme doesn't really make much sense either. It's just bad.

I've never bought a game where i've instantly regretted it like Hardline. I wish I never bought it.
