Tough question. Vick was electrifying in the sense that he was doing stuff with his mobility that people had never seen before. However, he was horribly inaccurate despite his ridiculously strong arm.
I feel like Newton might not quite be the athlete Vick was in his prime, but still obviously one of the best athletes at the QB position in terms of his mobility. He's also significantly more durable, and probably more reliable/consistent in terms of what you're going to get out of him on a weekly basis. He's also much more accurate of a passer, and while he probably doesn't quite have Vick's surreal arm strength that he had in his prime, he definitely has a strong arm of his own.
In the end, it's a little soon to say which is better, but I'd definitely rather have Newton on my team than a prime Vick mostly because of the consistency and the fact that you can actually rely on him to pass you to victory, whereas it was a "which Vick is gonna show up" sorta thing.
