I'm surprised Evans released his statement AFTER the deal fell through, not BEFORE. I'd have thought by releasing it before, it might have aided his move but now he's talking of mob justice so those people part of that justice, have probably helped him become the 'victim'.
Oldham are naive in thinking they could get it over the line, the pressure tells when big sponsors push out and leave people's jobs on the line. I saw Charlie Webster's tweets that the FA/Kick It Out should help educate players in issues of rape etc, and they can help but she's really thinking high of the FA and football as a sport, if she's expecting them to lead on what is a emotive issue such as rape. If she wants to do that, needs to try and reach more influential people in the country than football lawmakers
