Swweet!

DDG rocks it again. The Wilshere save was a beauty, part-gamble part intuition I imagine. All saves after were standard but his handling was good. Rooney, I have to say, glad to have him in the team in games like this. The back three were shaky at the start, thanks to Arsenal's quick start but got better as the game went on. Only infuriating moments were Dean bottling the Wilshere red card and Shaw getting injured again.

Carrick/Fellaini did their defensive work well and tbh latter started playing better after the Wilshere scrap.

Arsenal must be roasting themselves..

Wilshere's headbutt fail, only reaching Fellaini's chest. Truth is latter could tap Wilshere and he'd go flying. Knob.

ALRIGHT guys, TOMORROW NIGHT it's the BIGGEST GRUDGE MATCH of ALL TIME!

ASTON VILLA COLLIDE WITH SOUTHAMPTON

I'm sure it'll be a big night for @PorkChop so let's all show our support at this exciting time.

Villa are without Vlaar, Senderos, Benteke, Delph, Baker... Basically all of our good players.

It's going to be a cricket score and I'm going to kill myself.

1-1 was a fair result, which I'm delighted to say. I expected Villa to get smashed.

Strange decision to take off a defensive midfielder and replace him with Darren Bent at 70 minutes though. Where's the logic in that? Aside from that, no complaints.

That's cool and all of that, but when you take into account that Ronaldo is only a couple of goals behind his records coupled with the things that he accomplished in England, Ronaldo is still the more impressive player.

I'm no Messi hater - just stating facts. I know you hate Ronaldo though which gives you a bias towards Messi.

Ronaldo has played nearly 25 more champions league games then Messi so I'd fully expect him to be around a similar total to Messi, Ronaldo should of broken the record before Messi if im honest.

Doesn't matter as he'll most likely break Messi's records anyway, and you know this.

Roy Keane leaves his Villa post amidst rumours he had a training ground row with a player.

Lambert could be in even more trouble, his assistant leaving in a run of big games and Bent's been shipped off to Brighton. Amazed latter hasn't been given that many regular chances, a decent finisher IMO.

That Vine at the end made me laugh, just SO relaxed

There was no row with Agbonlahor, that's all shit. Keane was well respected at Villa.

Bent leaving isn't a big deal, he's shite. He might have some goals in him but no more than Benteke or Kozak would provide, when they're not suspended or injured.

If Villa lose against Burnley tomorrow I might cry - even though it wouldn't surprise me. It's gotten to the point now where relegation would be a good thing for the club as all the 'top' players on big wages would leave the club, and Villa could just start again like Saints, Newcastle, and several other clubs did. Unfortunately Lerner will probably do the bare minimum to ensure we won't get relegated as it would affect his chances of finding a buyer, so until then, Villa will be stuck in never-ending misery.

Supporting Villa for the best part of 24 years has rarely been an enjoyable experience, but it's never been worse than this. Villa recorded the lowest home attendance since 1999 against Southampton - even under McLeish the team had better support. Everything about the club is toxic right now. Such a shame to see what Villa have become, all because Lerner cares more about his wallet than the fans - 5 years ago we were one of the most entertaining and attacking teams in the league, on the cusp of Champions League qualification. Watching the team now, I see better football played in the Conference.

Real break the record by winning 16 consecutive matches for the club. Ancelotti has beaten Mourinho who accomplished 15 winning matches. Man, I've got a crush on Ancelotti. Great that he's succeeded where Mourinho couldn't.

Also didn't realise Ronaldo has the mosts assists in La Liga, so much for being selfish eh..

He's got the most goals too, as he is the GOAT and Messi is a peasant.

Why hasn't Paul Lambert been sacked yet?
