I'm sure some of you will be like "meh so what?", I know this sort of thing doesn't interest everyone but I just wanted to inform you lovely people that I'm pregnant with number two. Due on May 19th of all days as it reminds me of that weird Fake Kane Storyline in WWE a few years back :lol Anyway if I disappear for a while around that time next year then fear not :P , it's probably because I'm either drowning in a pool of baby sick and poo. Or Rockstar Spud has come to whisk me away to go live with him leaving the other half with a 2.5 year old and a newborn, lovely.

Thanks everyone for the kind words ^_^ I found out a few weeks ago now and it was a massive shock, like totally unexpected but we're chuffed now. Just wanted to wait until we'd had the first scan, which was today to make sure all was well before 'announcing' it to people, figured I may as well let you guys know as well what with this being a fairly close-knit community, it's nice to share some good news every now and then.

Wahey! Congrats my friend!

You know what you gotta do now. Put your feet up, and let the OH do all the running around because - and don't let him forget this - you're pregnant ;)

Reckon it will be available by the time they're old enough to draw a pension? ;)

You guys seriously, as lame as it sounds your replies mean a heck of a lot to me right now. As does the positive response I've recieved from Facebook friends I haven't talked to in a good while. I received a less than desirable response from someone who I consider one of my closest friends and if I'm honest it's choked me up a bit and put me on a bit of a downer. It comes to something when strangers and people I don't know particularly well are able to be happy for me, yet someone who I've always considered a genuine friend for over a decade can't be? I don't understand it.

Jealousy and envy I can only imagine the reasons for their response. Just focus on the general positive response than the minority with their unhelpful remarks.

Thanks AKY. It just sucks because at this point I don't have many friends as it is. They seem to be dropping like flies over the past few years and although i'll admit I've played my part in that process too and I am far from the perfect friend, probably been a pretty bad one at times in fairness. There are/were a couple of people who I always thought would be around for life even when our lives took different paths. Guess that's not the case after all and it's kinda terrifying because I have no idea how to make new, real life friends. It's something I've struggled with a lot since becoming a parent.

But anyway I don't want this to turn into a woe is me post. You're totally right, I need to concentrate on those who are a happy for me and maybe even use this as an opportunity to reach our to people I haven't had regular contact with for a while.

Congrats, Nat! Great news. Best of luck with the new baby, I'm sure you'll raise a great kid.

As for one of your friends not being happy for you, maybe they're just worried they won't see much of you after the child arrives and are lashing out selfishly. That's the kind of reaction which should hopefully pass once they realise they're being foolish. If having a family is something that they'd allow to come between you, then that's not much of a friend anyway.

It sucks that it can be hard meeting new people once you leave school/college, but these things tend to happen when you least expect anyway. And you'll probably be making loads of new parent friends once your eldest starts in school. :P

Congrats again, really chuffed for you.

Thanks guys!

Not thought of any names yet, think we're going to wait till we know the gender, makes it easier to pick something out when you don't have two genders to think about. I'll take all your suggestions on board :rotf

Just wow. I know some women may have a small drink early on but to consume that amount of alcohol, just baffling and negligent.

I heard about that story, poor little girl :( Drinking heavily when you don't realize you're pregnant is one thing but to continue to drink to excess when you know you're pregnant is disgusting. I think current guidelines state something like 1-2 units a week is okay but I'm not a big drinker anyway so I choose to abstain.
