Anyone else here ever built a pc?

This is the place for gamers to talk about what they're playing, as well as for discussions about the latest tech and gadgets.

It is not that hard just make sure you have patience and don't rush anything. I built my last 3 computers and all worked great. 2 of the 3 still work today the first one that was built in the late 90's passed away about 5 years ago but then again it could never get most stuff done that need to be done today.

When you are building it just take your time with some parts like the CPU if you damage any pins on the CPU can cause serious problems later on so just take your time man. If you need any help with anything feel free to contact me and I can walk you through the process.

Also when it comes to drivers it best to use another computer and download the latest ones and don't use any of the CD's since most likely the are out of date by the time you get the packages.

PC is built!! it took approximately 8 hours to build it and install windows and drivers and everything but now I'm sitting here typing this from a PC that I built and it feels like a pretty great accomplishment. Working on transferring files/installing stuff now!

Good job, scariest part is over. I am always afraid of getting a broken/defective part when I install new hardware to my PC. Sometimes even when you do it right you are just unlucky haha.

Congratulations, glad you feel that way. Did you find it hard or was it straight forward to you. Just wanted to know your input on it
