Alright, this is a pretty controversial statement. When all is said and done, Rooney will quite comfortably make most people's list of the top 100 players of all time. Like I said above, he's the third all-time goalscorer in the Premier League, he'll most likely be England most capped player (he's 26 caps off Shilton's record) and possibly even England's all time goalscorer (he's 18 goals off Bobby Charlton's record).

Name the players you'd have between 80 and 100 on your list.

Also, I'm still waiting for this ;)

Direct source to the tweets on twitter.. no they were deleted along with her account when they decided she needed a new identiy and moved her to a new location but I have news stories from when people were prosecuted for naming her on the tweets http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-nort ... s-20207408, the tweets came from http://chedevans.com/the-disputed-tweets.

I also just want to point out that this only became a rape case when the police decided to launch a rape investigation... the only complaint that was made from the girl to the police was that she believed ‘her drink had been spiked’ but the toxicology reports proved that there was no trace of any date rape drug in her system only traces of cannabis and cocaine.

It was only after informing the police that the girl had stayed in a room in the Premier Inn that had been booked for two footballers, that the police escalated the enquiry to a rape enquiry. This was only 14 minutes after taking the call and without interviewing either the complainant or the suspects.

I'd have a read of this and the rest of the site to get the full story... its where i've got the majority of my information from http://www.chedevans.com/frequently-asked-questions

Obviously chedevans.com is biased in favour of Ched Evans, so I wouldn't use it as a reputable source.

For all intents and purposes Ched Evans has been convicted of rape. He may dispute it, but a lot of rapists do. He may feel aggrieved and the evidence may be somewhat suspect, but debating whether someone was raped or not is never a good conversation to have. Let's stay clear of that.

If he returns to football though he's going to be torn apart in the terraces, as are his club. It's a pretty big more for both parties. I'm just happy it's not my club at the centre of this. It'll be interesting to see how Sheffield United fans take to him.

Wouldn't want to be around teenage Southampton fans tonight.

8-0.

Credit to Koeman but they started brightly last season before tailing off but could grab a EL spot.

Their former manager, Pochettino, I fear for already considering the sack happy culture at Spurs. He's finding how difficult it is to implement methods on a squad of mature footballers than a younger squad, willing and a desire to learn and improve.

They were tipping themselves to finish third in the league after five games. No kidding.

Balotelli has been embarrassingly shite today. He's the laziest player I've ever seen - he doesn't even try to act interested.

Bad performance, didn't deserve even a point tbh but I'll take that all day.

Perfect pick for me though, called 2-3 haha!

What did you make of Balotelli? I thought he was complete shite.

He's wasteful in possession, has the work rate of a brick and just doesn't seem to care. If I was Rodgers I'd be thinking about selling him in the summer already.

How can you hate football when you just saw Harry Redknapp watch his side throw away a result after scoring twice in 7 minutes?

It was glorious.

It was phenomenal but when there is £2000 on the line it kind of hurts

In that case I retract my sentiments.

Closest I've been to winning big was back in 2010, I would've won something like £1630 if Yeovil didn't concede in the final minute. I've never forgiven them.

I'm with you, he was disgraceful yet again. Appalled by his complete and utter lack of effort, the fucking clown wasn't even watching when we took the quick free kick and bagged. Lambert and Borini would be better options until Sturridge is back.

Also on the topic of major bets. I had an £10 8-fold on the other year set to win me a grand and all my teams were winning - until QPR conceded in the 95th minute to Millwall. So QPR (and Harry) are forever on my cunt list and I'm happy Liverpool mugged them off today.

Just reading the stats: in Balotelli's last 20 Premier League games, he has 1 goal and 0 assists - with a 2.6% conversion rate.

One day I support the annoying, bumbling Harry Redknapp - his defence lets me down. QPR defended better with Rio tbf just messed up on concentration otherwise points would have been theirs.

Balotelli - what a fail. Even his team-mates are realising how useless he is. I'd give Lambert a run of games or Borini.
