My common bond with former Manchester United manager David Moyes...

Postby AkydefGoldberg » Sep 13, '14, 3:38 pm

I can finally have sympathy with David Moyes for when he got the sack from Manchester United, the solemn news delivered by Ed Woodward.

I too, have been sacked by Deadly Ed....on FM Classic on PSP. I guided United to fifth place, like Moyes won the Community Shield but took the club to CL Final. Unfortunately, our battle for fourth took us neck and neck with Spurs. They lost on the final day and so did we. I got sacked and had to endure, my replacement, Jurgen Klopp guide my team to victory over Juventus.

Thanks Ed.

I need FM back :(

Has anyone here ever tried to Vauxhall Motors challenge? You have to take them over and win the Champions League with them in 10 seasons. I managed to get to League One before getting relegated and sacked :lol

I once took Bedford Town to the Premiership in 6 years. Back to back promotions. I cheated the whole way of course.

I never cheat, takes the fun out of it.

I managed to have some sort of success with Vauxhall Motors as I had West Ham as a parent club. They loaned me some of their shitty players who proved to be class in the lower leagues. Then when I got to League One I just got smashed.

I never cheat usually either. I just wanted to get Bedford to the Premiership. Don't know why.

Back when I used to play religiously, I took Solihull Moors to the Championship, I can't remember how many seasons it took to get there but I didn't cheat and it was quite possibly the most frustrating, long winded game of FM I'd ever played.

EDIT: It seems I can't rec at all on mobile. EXPLAIN THIS SHIT TIM

Haha thanks, not sure if I could do it now. I don't have the patience, every now and then I'll start a game with Blues and always end up giving up before the first season's over :lol

I'll stick to pokemon hacks and the sims.

I recently bought the Championship Manager from the 2002/2003 season for nostalgia reasons. It's amazing looking back and seeing the attributes of some of the players that have been amongst the best for the last few years. Cristiano Ronaldo is available for close to 2 million, while Andres Iniesta is worth around 3 million. Wayne Rooney is so young that I can sign him on a youth contract for free. I can buy those three players for the same price that I would pay for Emile Heskey!
