Huge net neutrality protest in a few days

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2 ... neutrality

Mozilla, Reddit, Etsy, Kickstarter and Vimeo are hosting a "Go Slow" day on the 10th. They won't actually be affecting your surfing speed but they'll be displaying a frustrating 'loading' symbol on all of their pages.

Pornhub, Redtube and Youporn are also in, and more major sites are expected to join in the protest.

This is kind of cool. It's hard to imagine how it would actually pan out in everyday internet use if net neutrality is dumped, and I wouldn't mind a single day of annoyance to get a clearer idea of it. Other people may not like it so much though... I probably wouldn't either, if I could get my head around the idea on my own. :P

Is there any particular reason that it's happening on 10 September? - Is it an important date? Are there more people on Youporn on Wednesdays? What is it?
