Vlaar to United makes a tremendous amount of sense. They're in dire need of a good CB (more than one really) and he's affordable (especially if Cleverley going the other way is part of the deal). Plus there's of course the fact that he's played under Van Gaal before and in the same system no less.

Really don't want to get my hopes up about this Falcao transfer, it's hard not to now tho. After the Besiktas game, Wenger was asked if Falcao was in his price range, he said no, but did the "Ozil Smile" after. Now, An Arsenal fan on Twitter called Mike Sanz tweeted saying "RT if you'd love Falcao at Arsenal." Minutes after, Falcao followed him.

I never thought I'd be relieved to see an international break coming up but glad there is one and much needed.

Hopefully, in the two weeks, we'll have some bodies back and LVG can try and work on the system if that's what he wants to persist with but will be tricky as most (not sure how many) will be away with internationals.

A cack performance today. Defence was woeful and Blackett was annoying me with his lofted left footed long balls - yes, you gave Fellaini his first goal vs. Valencia but don't overdo it lad - but I'm amazed LVG hasn't encouraged Blackett at least to be more confident going forward and seeing a pass but tbf, our midfield doesn't have anyone to try and pick the ball from deep. Fletcher's performance today again worrying - needs a rest. Getting completely overrun on his own.

ADM had a positive debut. The Mata chance when he slipped in the first half was down to ADM and there was an opportunity to play him in on the right hand side but RVP looked for Rooney but early days yet in regards to gaining an understanding of ADM runs.

Mata was poor - performances like that won't help his case if there is a formation change. OK we know he's not the quickest but he should be more incisive with his passing. But it's probably part of a bigger malaise in the way we're playing atm.

Blind coming in suggests he'll be in CM but again, think he'll struggle in that role. LVG says another player may come in after Blind but if it's not Vidal/Carvalho - both are dead deals it seems - then who?

EDIT: It'll be De Jong.

Edin Dzeko - what goes around comes around - "Hahahaha"

Stoke deserved to win but I'm annoyed with Hart, I felt he could have saved that as it was a slow shot. Right between his legs. Never really got a rythm going and it was tough to break stoke as they had everyone back.

Stoke always seem to cause us trouble. Don't know what it is with them and Sunderland. Could be worse, we could have drawn with Burnley :batista2

Don't laugh at United, they did well to get a point against their relegation rivals.

West Ham have signed Alex Song on loan.

Also, I heard Costa had a slight injury. I took him out of my dream team. Bullocks.

Hart better be a worried boy - Pellegrini's got his Willy in as back up so won't be long before Hart's out of the side. Manuel's never really liked Hart but luckily, don't like Hart so would be great to see..

Ha, would have liked to see how you'd done with Burnley with ten injuries to your squad but meh, more of a longer, underlying issues with us atm.

Having ten injuries to the squad means nothing - haven't you got RVP, Rooney, Mata and Di Maria?

That's like when United fans said their squad was weak against MK Dons - the team United fielded that night had 821 first team appearances combined :lol

City could easily field two seperate teams, even Chelsea aswell. We've got a splatter of quality players but woeful back up. It's got so woeful we had to rely on Anderson - yes, that fat slob - today.

RVP, Rooney, Mata and ADM can provide individual brilliance but when there's no structure or cohesion behind them then even tough to expect them to bail us out.

7 points from 3 games, including some good performances along the way. Without Benteke, that's a damn good start to the season - I'd have laughed in your face if you told me Villa would be the last Premiership team to concede and were unbeaten after 3. Only 33 points to go now!

Now we have the top 5 to play, back to back. Bring on the defeats!

I don't think Arsenal need to buy a new striker. I do however think we have players in our squad who can play up front who are more suitable than Sanogo. Podolski can play up front. I think Joel Campbell has played up front for Costa Rica. Alternatively, they could put Chamberlain on the right and put Sanchez up front. Or leave everyone else where they are and play Arsenals back up goal keeper Damien Martinez up front. Any of these options would be better than Sanogo.
