2 former WWE talents show up in TNA

Postby Westcoastvibes » Jul 25, '14, 9:20 am

Last nights TNA iMPACT! was the debut of big Zeke Jackson and the baby killer Gene Snitzky.
The showed up as two fawns in the crowd wearing black hoodies and interfered in the new York street fight between 3d/dreamer vs. EC3/Rhino/Spud. They are the latest addition to the Carter stable along with King Mo

They also re-debuted Low Ki and Matt Hardy, setting up Hardy Boyz vs Wolves for the belts and Low Ki as an X Division contender.

This is one of those moves that I find it impossible to have an opinion about. People will moan about them being WWE rejects, but they're both guys who weren't really used much and who really could get a new start and become bigger stars in TNA. So I don't mind that much when they bring in these kind of WWE rejects who are probably on low salaries and could conceivably be worth the investment.

At the same time, if the company wants people to mark out that these two showed up, then obviously they're out of their minds. Nobody cares about these two guys. TNA has the job of trying to make people care about them. Their sudden appearance on the show isn't going to get people talking, because they're not a big deal.

Actually my biggest objection to this is that Dixie has a stable now apparently? Fuck that for a game of soldiers. Dixie, you need to understand how terrible you are. Nobody likes you on television, your heel character isn't really effective either and you're just bumming everyone out. Sure, Eric Bischoff and Vince McMahon both made themselves characters and it worked out real well. But not everyone can do it.

Get rid of Dixie from television, stop pretending that King Mo is going to happen and then just use Jackson & Snitsky as a monster heel tag team, because they might actually work in that position. And the tag team division needs competitors. If it doesn't work out then fair enough, but it's better to try them in tag than singles.

I'd pay good money to see Bully Ray wrestling a deer. That would be entertainment.

TNA has put on like 6 good shows in a row now. I'd hardly say they've given up. Since Slammiversary they've been on a roll, so probably more along the lines of: they realize the company is financially not in a great place so they're trying their hardest to get back on the horse by putting on a solid product.

As for Snitsky and Ezekiel.... mixed thoughts on this. On one hand, I understand them wanting to end the show in a surprising way. Personally I would have had the Aries/Lashley contract signing close the show instead, but that's because I realize nobody cares about Jackson and Snitsky. TNA must not feel the same way.

From here on out I'm willing to wait and see what happens. If they're just in the background acting as Dixie's bodyguards with an occasional match every now and then, maybe that'll work. But if this becomes another Aces and Eights/456th heel TNA stable, then fuck it. No reason to hire these guys when they let AJ Styles go.

On the bright side, Low Ki is back! Fuck yeah! :tim

I hate Dixie too, but I think they're using her right in this "is Bully Ray going to put her through a table?" storyline. I fucking love it. It makes me want to tune in every week to see the bitch go through a table. I've stayed away from results of the next shows, but I hope it happens soon, and when it does, Dixie will be gone. Or at the very least her presence on the show will decrease.

I disagree actually, I really don't like the angle. I hate Dixie and all, but I find it really weird that they've devoted this much time to getting the fans to cheer the assault of a 40 year old woman. That they're turning that into the big happy climax of a lengthy story is pretty fucked up to me. And I don't really find anything about it entertaining.

Bully Ray turned face way too quickly - pretty much out of nowhere - after being the most loathsome character in wrestling for the past few years. Now after his ridiculously rushed face turn, we're still supposed to buy him as the "good guy" when he's spending all his waking hours fantasizing about brutalizing a 40 year old woman? I don't get it and honestly I find it kinda stupid.

^^^ I completely agree with Hanley on this. Of all the things TNA are doing currently, this is pretty much my only sticking point and thing I can't stand at the moment. This angle shouldn't be going on in this way.

The Dudleyz achieved their greatest popularity and success in WWF putting women through tables, including a senior citizen in Mae Young. Not sure what that says about society or wrestling fans :lol , but it's proven to work for the Dudleyz.

It's probably why I never liked the Dudleys as a kid. Then again, I didn't like the Rock either, because he bullied the staff just so he could look cool. Face characters with a bit of attitude and personality are obviously a good thing, but I enjoy it when the good guys actually come off like good guys. Maybe I'm just old fashioned in that respect. :P

the issue I have with the great shows tna has been producing is that most of the tallent is just a filler short term deal for the ny tapings. zeke, snitsky, muta, low ki and others are there to boost the ny taping. i expect to see matt hardy and maybe muta stick around a bit longer the further storyline but other that than I see most disapearing. tnat has been putting on some solid shows lately and I would like to see it stay that way. queation is , will it?

The questions I have regarding this is:
1. Will she be put through a table?
2. If yes Will we see her go through the table, or will it be an off screen moment, where we hear acrash, the camera rushes into the room to find her lying on a broken table with Bubba Ray standing over her?
3. If it IS like the 2nd option......would that satisfy the bloodthirsty TNA crowd?

After all, haven't TNA gone along the same route for the last few years as WWE, by banning Man on Woman violence in storylines.
