I just don't use self checkout machines. We don't get along.

Self checkouts are great, I used to get furious with people that wouldn't use them when I worked for Tesco. People that avoid using the self checkouts are either lazy, old or both. That weekly shopping thing sounds horrible though, folk used to take their weekly shopping to the basket only till and that used to make my blood boil.

Nah, not a self-check out fan either. When I go weekly shopping at Asda, always make sure I go during when the tills are open.

I tried a self-check out at Marks and Spencers once. I was actually waiting for the till and this old lady - who tbf was lovely - said go and try the self-check out and because I didn't have the audaciousness (cuz I'm a gent ya see ;)) to say no I gave it a try. I looked like a prat when I couldn't find where to put my money and the old lady got on next to me and guided me through.

I just don't like people around me waiting for me to bag the groceries, alot of "pressure" lol.

Checkouts all the time for me.

UKIP doing well as expected, looks like they're going to be the big winners. They've taken over Rotherham and they'll likely take Bradford - seems we'll all be living in UKIP territory.

I'm down south at uni, everywhere here bar Portsmouth is a Tory/UKIP stronghold. It's sad really. Most windows on my road have the horrid yellow/purple "I'M VOTING UKIP" shit on them.

I'm not really too concerned with how well UKIP are doing. It seems to be the 'in' thing to do at the moment and the majority have done it as a protest vote. They might make a tad difference locally in certain places but in the grand scheme of things I don't see them making much of an impact.

Great tweet that I can't embed because I'm on my phone.

"If the people of Hull think they're getting to another FA Cup Final with UKIP in charge they're sadly mistaken" :lol

We had 2 days up here.

And yes, UKIP made some ground. Even though it's not much (at the time of writing) it's still cause for concern about the state of our political parties.

We had a thunderstorm down here earlier, loudest clap of thunder I've ever heard. Shook the windows. Apparently a house nearby was hit, the only casualty was a parrot :lol

Also. I love how on the BBC right now the Conservative MP's just threw Liberal Democrats under the bus for the right and centre to right vote fracturing between UKIP and Conservative party. :lol

LMAO

It's fucking hilarious.

Same, off to Spain we'll go.

The turnout for this election was 36%. That's shockingly shit. You can't blame the people though, as the politicians themselves should be blamed. After the farce that was the last general election I'm not surprised that the figures are so low. I imagine that young people in particular have majorly lost faith in politics.

Good to see the Lib Dems doing so poorly - I'm a liberal myself but they spat in the face of their voters a few years back and now they're suffering for it.

My work colleague said her UKIP vote was a protest vote. I'd normally say the other parties need to wake up but it has gone past that. Miliband is struggling; Clegg is doomed and Cameron's a twat!

UKIP won my ward unfortunately but they've done well in Rotherham, taking the seat of the Labour deputy leader.

I didn't vote, it was pissing it down and cba to go hence why I wish I'd done a postal vote or if they move with the times, an electronic vote but there's already enough postal fraud so that probably won't happen.
