Did Bryan get more afraid of Kane after he managed to beat him? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
WWE's attempts at horror are always hilarious, I don't know why they haven't dropped them yet. I can't remember a single instance of it working in the company. It's usually just cringe-worthy. Last night's door that was also Kane is now being filed in my brain under the same heading as Undertaker & Teddy Long's limo ride and the time Randy Orton's hallucinations about his father being covered in fake blood were so vivid that the audience saw the blood too.
On top of all that though, this to me seems like a classic case of WWE not understanding how to run an underdog story anymore. Bryan got over by being an underdog, so now all they know how to do with him is to make him lose and look like shit until the big match, where he manages to pick up a win. It's the same mentality that killed Rey Mysterio's title reign. It's the same mentality that's seriously slowing Paige's momentum at the moment.
Trying to make Bryan look like the underdog against Kane is pointless anyway. It's Kane. Nobody is going to accept him as the favourite. Sure, good booking could establish him as a real threat, but not just out of the blue like this. They'd have to have been working on it for a while first.
It's a shame that Bryan's material has been so bad lately. They really don't know what they have. Or if they do, they have no idea what to do with it.
