Blue Meanie sighting on Thursday!

I went to a Phillies game on Thursday afternoon (free ticket my boss gave me to the company's club box suite, no big deal), and while I was walking along the outside of the stadium, towards the entrance, I noticed a Monster Factory sweatshirt being worn by the guy walking in my direction (the Monster Factory is a wrestling school/promotion in south Jersey that a friend of mine used to wrestle for). As we walked past each other I sort of half-glanced at him, got a better look, and realized that he looked familiar. While I continued towards the stadium entrance, it finally registered that the guy I had just walked past was the Blue Meanie! He's lost quite a bit of weight since his days in ECW and WWE, so that's why it took me a minute to figure it out.

The funny thing is, that wasn't the first time I've run into him. About six or seven years ago I saw him while I was at a Foo Fighters show in Philly, but not before my friend pointed him out and asked "See that guy over there wearing the ECW shirt? Is that the Blue fucking Meanie?!?". Sure enough, I walked up to him, extended a slightly unsure hand and asked "Mr. Meanie?". He laughed and confirmed his identity, and we BS'd for a min or two about the Foo Fighters. Pretty Cool.

I don't know why, but that's hilarious. I don't even know if I"d recognize the blue meanie these days!

I actually ran into King Joffrey the other day. He was hanging around outside my gym. That was a bit of a surreal moment.

He still has the soul patch/goatee thing going on, and though it was faded, there was some blue dye I could see. That was definitely a major piece to the figuring-out-who-he-was puzzle, haha.

That is fucking insane. Imagine leaving the gym to find Joffrey right outside. Jack Gleeson seems like the most down to earth guy too so I can imagine how cool it'd be to come across him like that.

I was stood behind Kyle Walker (England Footballer) in the queue for a beer at a Kanye/Jay-Z gig a couple of years ago, took a photo with him - always cool to meet famous people.

....since this is turning into stories of meeting famous people, as far as celebrities go, I met* Vince Gilligan, and Marisa Tomei is my second cousin so I've seen her a few times (she doesn't come to family gatherings very much, but her father does. He's a judge, but surprisingly the stereotypical sweet old man.)

I've also met and shook the hand of Hilary Clinton a few years ago. She attended a luncheon that my family has yearly on 9/11 (to commemorate my brother.) Pretty nice lady.
