ATM, for MOTS I'd go for:

Pulis
Rodgers
Martinez
Bruce
Pellegrini

Brucey baby winning the FA Cup would be the ultimate recognition for his time as a coach. Shame that he won't get the chance to manage a big club but he could easily solidify Hull in the PL.

A few days ago Mat Kendrick, the key local Villa journalist at The Birmingham Mail, wrote an article that showed he clearly wasn't behind Lambert and his "plan". Kendrick also pointed out that Lambert's record at this stage is worse than McLeish. In the article he ran a poll on whether people thought Paul Lambert deserved a new contract, in the midst of speculation that he was in talks with the club. 82% said 'no'. That's a huge number, especially considering fans of Villa's rival clubs read the same paper and some would undoubtedly have contributed something to the 'yes' column.

There was also this announcement from Villa's CEO on the official website:

Four games ago, on the back of two good home wins, we were looking up the table and feeling confident of a strong, positive finish to the season.

Since then we have suffered four consecutive defeats and that is hard to take. We are hurting. Fans are hurting, players and the manager are hurting. The frustration is shared by everyone who loves Aston Villa.

Now more than ever it's time for us all to pull together - fans, players, the manager, everyone at the Club. Our immediate focus and combined efforts need to be concentrated on our game against Southampton this weekend and on our remaining games this season. We need to channel our energies into creating a positive atmosphere and getting the result we need on Saturday at Villa Park and in the games that follow.

Our fans have been magnificent throughout the season, as they always are. We are desperate to give them more to cheer about. I'm frustrated when we're not able to do that and I know the manager and players are frustrated as well.

We know we can handle adversity. What we need now is for everyone to stick behind the team and continue to show the great support that is a hallmark of our Club.

Paul Faulkner, Villa CEO

The seeds are being sown for a shitstorm.

Roberto Martinez' speech at the Hillsborough Memorial Service today showed him in a brilliant light, lovely stuff. I was Anfield 5 years ago for the 20th anniversary service and time only makes things more emotional. Great show of unity and support from Everton today, likewise with Man City at the weekend and every club to be honest (bar Chelsea who's disgusting fans couldn't keep quiet for a minute) JFT96.

Lambert intimated of some issues in an interview over the weekend. Now two of his assistants, that he knows well, are suspended. Intrigued by what's going on. But can't justify this as a reason for the poor form which, I'd be amazed if he did.

Norwich this weekend. I shouldn't be nervous but it's the stage of the season where I'm nervous about every game and every game is a cup final. The fact Norwich are struggling makes the job that much harder as City found out last night plus Suarez absolutely destroys Norwich every time he plays against them and so it's got me thinking they're due a win over us. I love football.

God I hope so. I must say I've had one of those weird premonitions all week that we're gonna snatch a 1-0 win. One can dream I suppose. I think one more win would see Norwich survive but with Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal all up coming, it does seem like a tough ask.

If only the trouble at Villa occurred a few weeks ago, could have made all the difference ... sorry Porky. That being said I'd take Culverhouse and Karsa back at Norwich unless there's something more nefarious about their suspension.

Player of the Season:
Suarez
Sturridge
Gerrard
Lallana
Toure
Hazard

Winner: Suarez for me, it simply has to be. Anyone else would be a crime.

Young Player of the Season:
Hazard
Shaw
Sturridge
Sterling
Ramsey
Barkley

Winner: Tougher to call, I'd have given it to Ramsey if he hadn't been out of action for months and he likely hasn't played enough football to win it. Sad really, Ramsey was the best player in the league clearly until his injury. I feel like when you establish yourself as a top player like Hazard and Sturridge (both 24, too) you shouldn't be considered for YPOTS tbh. My young player of the season would go to Jordan Henderson honestly - he's been an ever-present in the Liverpool team and completely transformed himself this season, criminal that he's not even nominated. Hazard'll likely win off that list.

POTS is Suarez quite clearly.

YPOTS however I'd give to Barkley. For me, YPOTS should be about someone really having a breakout season and really cementing themselves in their team as a big player. Sterling, Barkley and Shaw have done that for me but I just think Barkley pips it with some outstanding performances this season. He looks like a phenomenal talent.

Suarez, easy.
Sturridge/Hazard will get it.

There should be a third category for most promising players that the likes of Barkley/Shaw could win that highlights their performance this season.

If Suarez does not get the player of the season, its a joke. Arguably should have got it last season as well if it wasnt for his teeth. Was far more consistent than Bale throughout the season.

The young player award is much harder to call. Being biased, I would say Sturridge but I suppose there is an arguement for the majority of candidates. Although Sterling has been brilliant the last few months, I do think he has lacked the consistency throughout the season in comparison to the rest.

I'd put Baines ahead of Shaw, other than that it's tough to disagree. Maybe take out Sterling too.
