I like the theory that Daenerys is actually the one who's going to bring doom upon Westeros and after her Dragons were born the White Walkers rose up to defend against them and eventually will be lead into a final battle by Jon Snow.

Obviously this means that R+L=J but I'm pretty certain that's the case anyway. Daenerys was forged in fire and I think Jon will be reborn in Ice underneath the Wall and have an Ice Dragon of his own. I don't think he's dead, the smoking wounds signalled that and having two Targaryen's fighting in the end seems somewhat poetic. Have I worded that in a way that makes sense?

^Never heard that theory before. Seems to me there's a long way to go in just two weeks to resolve that, but there's a longggggg way to go to resolve ANYTHING at this point :lol

I've done some googling and found a post from someone much cleverer than I who explains the theory in impressive detail, check it out!

The only thing I have against your theory is that the white walkers were moving south before the dragons were born. I do agree that Daenerys will bring doom to Westeros. She's going to show up with dragons and an army of foreign people and mercenaries and possibly ironmen and who the hell will be receptive to that. Also will the people of Westeros even welcome her and MORE war. They've been bleed damn near dry and she'll just stir shit back up again.

Yeah but perhaps the white walkers knew what was coming? They knew the dragon eggs were close to the last Targaryan and set the wheels in motion. Mehh I don't know thinking about it their is a flaw in the theory. Dany vs Jon would be killer though, I prefer that to the other idea floating around the net of them ending up together. I also hope Jon learns the truth about his real parents too.

There's only one person left alive who knows the truth about Jon and I doubt we'll ever see Howland Reed. But I HATE that people want Dany and Jon to get together and wed. FUCK OFF YOU CREEPS SHE'S LIKE HIS AUNT.

I'm interested in seeing what happens with Aegon and his attempt to gain the throne. I really like that kid.

I think anyone who has read the series should agree that R+L=J is 100% fact and not a theory. It just makes so much sense.

Apparently when pitching the idea of making ASOIAF into a TV series the one question George R.R Martin asked Benioff and Weiss was who Jon Snow's mother was and it wasn't until they answered that he decided to even discuss the idea with them, they said he smiled when they told him. You've got to assume they told him R+L=J because it's the only thing that makes sense.

Incest is hardly unprecedented in this universe. :lol It's hardly a Dexter & Deb situation here. But it's not something I'd want to see at the same time. But it wouldn't surprise me if this series has some messed up fans.

I definitely don't think Jon is dead, it just didn't seem as final as the Red Wedding somehow. And I think the author got a bit carried away with the death fake outs in the last couple of books anyway - with people like Brienne and Davos. Now it's getting hard to believe that he's genuinely going to kill his characters, which is bizarre given the reputation he's built up over the years.

I think Jon has a part to play in the end of the story. The theory that he's one of the heads of the dragon has always interested me, but it probably works better as a concept than to actually see play out in the books. Him opposing Daenerys would interest me a bit more. Though neither the dragons or the white walkers interest me as much as the characters inside the seven kingdoms - the ones who have been plotting and politicking to try and secure more power. That has been the highlight of the series for me, so I hope they find a place for those characters during what seems to be an inevitable conclusion.

I'm pulling for Bran to be somehow involved in saving him... this may just be because I really want there to be a Stark siblings reunion of some kind soon (although Jon and Arya have always been the main two I like to see back together).

But regardless, Bran is close-ish to Jon geographically, and may have access to (a) crazy powers, and (b) crazy knowledge. This might be just the place for Jon to find out his true parentage also.

So for you learned folks who have read the books.

Who killed Joffrey?

I am personally hoping for a crossover and the culprit being Riddick.

I don't think poison is in Riddick's repertoire. He's more stab Joffrey and kill all the Kingsguard. I would like to see Riddick fight the Mountain though.
