It would be a torch passing moment but at the same time I can see two problems
1. Not a single person wwe could get their hands on to do it would ever live up to the greatness that would be expected by the fans and the iwc as the guy who beat the streak. He would constantly be ridiculed and picked apart for no other reason than "he beat the streak"
2. The undertakers streak is more than a streak, its a dynasty, a legacy. The undertaker should retire with streak in tact, then wwe should never attempt to duplicate the results aside from shavings some random young guy poke at itafter going 3-4 wm's uundefeated only to loose.

IDK - not as much now for me. Orton at WM21 could have been the moment but due to the HHH rematches, HBK rematches - it's not lost its 'passing of the torch' moment. It'll still be cool if/when it goes but not as much because Taker's damn old and had he lost it in his prime, to an up-and-comer dude, would have been massive.

1. No he wouldn't. He'd just get heat and heat is good. The idea that nobody could "live up to the greatness" is deifying Undertaker far more than he deserves. Which I guess, is what people do with him constantly anyway. They have plenty of great performers at the moment who are over and who would be deserving of a rub by Undertaker. And it would be a great moment when it did happen, far more memorable than any Undertaker win.

2. No it's not. It's just an undefeated streak. They exist in every sport and eventually they end. It's a massive feather in Undertaker's silly hat that he went undefeated at Wrestlemania for so long, but if he lost a match there he wouldn't be remembered any differently. I dare anyone to argue otherwise. So why does he deserve to retire with it unbroken when it's a tool that could be used for someone else. Hasn't he already been given enough? Several gimmick matches invented just for him, wins against every major star in WWE history, several Wrestlemania main events, several title runs ... he has been given so much more than almost ever other name in the history of the business, but for some reason there are still fans who think he NEEDS this distinguishing trait too, just because.

The streak should end. It's just true. In 10 years of arguing this point, I haven't heard a single valid argument against this simple fact.
