Man. Stuff like this is why I consider TNA to be a sinking ship. It almost felt like one final kick in the balls to AJ when they can't afford to lose top stars like him, especially when guys like Hardy, Angle and Sting all have contracts that are going to expire soon. I like Magnus and it's nice to see a Brit do well in the wrestling world but when it takes that many men to help you win nobody can take your title reign seriously.

What in the holy hell is going on in that company. I've barely watched in a long time, who is the little guy with them lol? And what in the blue hell is Dixie Carter doing as an on screen character? Who thought this was a good idea?

Watching this the rumours about TNA being in big trouble must be true.

She desperately wants to be a McMahon.

And TNA wonders why they can't compete? :jerk Fuck everything about that match. There were little short shows of talent in that "match" but If TNA went under tomorrow I would not have to see a single one of those men in WWE. The Magnus guy looked like he has talent but even with him winning it felt like they buried him with all of the help he needed. AJ has impressive moves but meh.

I watched the main event last night and was thinking, what the hell is going on. :lol I understand you want to send off AJ looking strong, but when the "real champion" needs half of the roster to beat his opponent, it's laughable and impossible to take Magnus seriously going forward.

That was actually pretty entertaining in a train wreck sort of way :lol

But yeah, way too much interference. Way to make Magnus look like complete shit :lol . It's sad to see that TNA has become more sports-entertainmenty than WWE. AJ's world title reign a couple of years ago was so much better than this one it's not even funny.

I guess I am the only one that thought AJ's send off was brilliant for AJ?
Not only did he go out like a fucking man but he gave the fans a remarkable show of talent and proved for a final time why TNA should have never let him leave.
I must be the only one since NO ONE has made a single comment in regards to my thread I posted last night about the same match :lol

I think the match made AJ look pretty good, but at the same time it made Magnus look really bad for needing so many guys to constantly be beating up AJ while he steps out of the ring. And Magnus is the one who's staying as the champion. The interference would have been fine (in my book) if AJ and Magnus wrestled for 15 minutes before it happened and gave each other everything they got. The match was made when Magnus AGREED to face AJ. Dixie was completely against it, but it was Magnus who told her that he needed the match to prove himself to AJ. So why was he completely fine with needing so many people's help to beat AJ?

It would have been better if they wrestled for a while, Magnus realizes he can't beat AJ. Cue the interference at that point. Magnus is the guy who beat Sting clean, he shouldn't look that weak against Styles. I've never cared much for Magnus and the booking certainly hasn't helped :( .

Yes but that is typical booking to have the heel win via interference after he gives it his all and is about to fail. I agree that it made magnus look like a pussy but in the reverse of it AJ just sold TNA fans what TNA wanted and that was to make magnus look like he was handed the title and does not deserve it, hence AJ's comment and the fans chanting "paper champ".

Like I said in my thread, I was hoping for a more equal fight with more than just sting involved on AJ's side. Guys like Joe, angle, hardy, EY, Abyss and so on to even the odds and give AJ a fighting chance. But as the match went on and AJ kept fighting off every guy and pulling moves out of his ass basically on his own I realized that there was no better way to make AJ look strong going out. We all knew AJ was done with TNA and he was not going to win so a clean one on one match may have showcased AJ's brilliance one last time but it would have done nothing for magnus but made him look like a champion when its clear TNA does not want that for him with this storyline.
I thought the match did exactly what they wanted it to do and it worked for all parties involved, at least it was not some bullshit going out match that wwe does. They could have had AJ loose clean, shake hands with magnus while the crowd chanted "Thank you" only to have his last image to the fans him getting dropped by some cheap shot from a heel wrestler.
