Brock Lesnar again reported to be in talks with UFC

Postby PorkChop » Jan 07, '14, 5:45 pm

I posted a thread on this a while back but no one commented on it, you buggers.

LA Times sports journalist's Twitter:

@danawhite told me last week he was “talking” to @DCBROCKLESNAR but wouldn’t announce anything until a signing.

Lords of Pain reckon that Lesnar and his management are using UFC and WWE against each other to drive up his contract demands. Smart plan tbh.

Not sure why Brock would go back to the UFC. He's probably on much better money in the WWE and only really has to put a shift in on PPV once every 6 months, he's living the luxury life! Didn't he also sign a two-year contract with WWE last year?

Hope the door doesn't hit him on the ass as he leaves. Wasn't excited to see him back, won't miss him when he is gone.

Lesnar is a super heavy weight, and both careers will be demanding. Its up to him if he wants to travel more for WWE shows, or train like a dog for his 2 fights per year. WWE probably pays a lot, but so do all those damn sponsors when he is in UFC.

I personally think, he will have a longer career in WWE. It is more safe, because if he loses a couple fights in UFC hes canned.

UFC would never can him - he was their biggest PPV star and the HW division is the shallowest they've got right now. Even if Lesnar lost 5 back to back, fans would still pay to see him fight. Leonard Garcia still remained on their books after 5 consecutive losses, so I'd bet my wallet that Lesnar would.

That being said, I don't know if Lesnar even trains MMA anymore and either needs to return to the Octagon or shut up. He's been flirting with a UFC return since 2012, and time isn't on his side.

I'm sure he signed a new deal last year? Unless there's some get out clause or something that allows for re-negotiations. I think Vince should call his bluff and tell him to go to UFC because he ain't getting a dime.

But still love Lesnar and having him around, sporadically is cool because he's still in good shape and apparently his match with Punk last year should have got the Slammy MOTM.

I swear I remember him signing a 2 year deal like a year ago. I do not want to see him go back to UFC. I am a big fan of Lesnar and want to keep seeing him in WWE. I don't understand all the hate he is currently getting on here though.
