I don't post this to have any real meaningful discussion, just so say how incredibly proud I am of this team. I am originally from Phoenix. My grandparents live a very short drive away from UoP Stadium. I've been a Cardinals fan for as long as I've known what Football was. I've been with them through everything. Most recently, I've been with them for their near triumph at the Super Bowl and their dismal returns the next few years. With the recent staff changes and YET ANOTHER QB switch (Carson Palmer, I'll get to in a minute), I've seen an almost brand new team. We have a (very) slim chance of making it to the playoffs this year (regardless, I'm hoping that we can beat the 49ers at our house next week to give us 11 regular season wins for the first time since '88), but if we don't I stand so tall knowing that I've gotten to see my support pay off this year.
For fuck's sake, we beat the Seahawks at CenturyLink and ended a 15 (?) game streak at home. That's one of the two hottest teams in the NFL. It was just an astounding game to watch and I'm constantly entertained by their games, win or lose.
Carson, who I had my reservations about going into the season. He's done a little bad, but he's also done a lot of good. For every folly he may have committed, he's also helped lead the team to 10 wins and is probably the best QB we've had since Warner left. I'm always impressed by Fitzgerald. I think Michael Floyd is wonderful. Jay Feely is one of the best kickers in the league. I think we have one of the best defenses in the league. I think Arians is great. If not this year, I feel like the Cardinals could have their year next season. The team has always been one of those teams that have a lot of the puzzle pieces, but just didn't have the right person to put it together. If they tighten up the offense and really push that D further, I think Arians and the coaching staff could whip them into a force to be reckoned with.
