Godzilla trailer

I'll admit, I'm probably one of the very few people on Earth who enjoyed the 1998 movie. But it is widely considered to be rubbish. However, this looks very good. I do love me a decent monster movie.

Whoah, I had no idea they were making a new Godzilla movie. I'll probably wind up seeing it just because it'll probably be a blast to watch it in the theater with some buds, but I'll be going in with low expectations I'm sure :lol

That trailer kinda sucked. I will watch the movie eventually but there is no way I would pay to watch it.

Yeah this trailer didn't get me pumped up for it, but it's Godzilla so I'll probably end up watching it still.

Decent, ambiguous trailer but the movie probably won't be very good. I'm sure it will top the last American Godzilla film, but nothing beats the old school Toho monster movies.

I think Pacific Rim decreases the interest people will have in this film and PR will probably be a better monster movie. But this does look like something I'll check out, and way better than the 1998 piece of shit.

I wish it wasn't so Americanized though. I wish it would take place in Japan with mostly Japanese actors, but then they'll think nobody will go see it.

I'm surprised they're even making this, after the last one did so poorly. Now apparently we're even remaking things that the audiences crapped on. I know Godzilla has a much longer history than 1998, but the western audience and the Japanese audience are a lot different.

Even Pacific Rim didn't do well enough to justify its budget, making a sequel seem very unlikely. So I find this an odd offering. I definitely won't be bothered seeing it.

Looked awesome to me. But I liked 98's film enough to see it a few times (though I was like 13).

The Godzilla series is my all time favorite movie series so y'all can go suck a lemon. I watched all the old school ones all the time with my dad. I kinda wish they found a way to incorporate the best baddies, King Ghidorah, but it is what it is. I do like that they are kinda rebooting the series and should do it better than 1998(which I kinda liked but see why others hate it). Hopefully the modernize a couple other classics. Godzilla is THE force of nature and it will be interesting to see how they make Americans handle him. I thought I read Toho and Legendary Pictures were working together so that gives me a lot of hope for this one. The trailer left me wanting more, especially a full view of Godzilla in all his 2014 glory. The only thing it was missing was the classic music at the end.

I did not enjoy 1998. It turned into Jurassic Park.

I am looking forward to this movie. Extremely. I will watch it in the theater and if no one wants to go with me I don't care because I will go watch it myself. I enjoy reboots of Godzilla because there is a TON of room for it. It's as open a game as any marvel comic is. I am especially looking forward to this because while I enjoyed the Godzilla movies as a whole being a child, I am definitely not into super hero monsters anymore. This movie goes back to more of Godzilla's roots, a metaphor to the A-Bomb, an accident, a terrible disaster, and nothing to stop it. Adding 2 new monsters is a nice touch, how they are created will play a big part in if the movie story is engaging or not, and how they encounter Godzilla as well.

This trailer makes me wonder what an epic Shadow of the Colossus movie would be like.
