I'm too tired to utter words.

Part of me has some anger towards SAF because the problem we have is one he should have resolved for his successor or made a start on it, he didn't.

When Robbie Savage said we'd struggle to make fourth I thought he was nuts. Infuriating to think it COULD come true BUT I'd say if we can buy right in January (which we traditionally not accustomed to, buying in January that is) then we can still make the top four. But with the Xmas period, can't allow ourselves to fall behind especially with Spurs winning tonight.

You lot won't make fourth unless a miracle happens, sixth would be a good finish at this rate.

I believe but IF we make the signings Moyes wants and can get. But we're leaving ourselves a lot to do with the Xmas games coming up.

Delighted that Martinez won the battle of the managers, I backed him to do well when he was first appointed when not many others did. Everton have a great team - Barkley is outstanding and Lukaku is easily top 5 strikers in the league.

You mention the January transfer window but do players want to play for the unknown David Moyes? I have my doubts, especially if United aren't in the top 4 when the window opens.

I'd hope players want to join because of Manchester United because of the club than the manager although SAF was a huge player puller at times because of his achievements. Everyone has to start somewhere but admittedly, will be tough in January because we don't normally buy in that month.

The three targets we're reported to be linked with are going to be difficult in the summer, never mind January.

Baines - Everton have said they don't want to sell and won't if the player makes a push for a move which won't happen as he seems inclined not to do that.

Herrera - Let's not forget he has a release clause which we didn't want to meet in the summer and even then, buying a player with a buy-out clause from Spain won't get done quickly. Might take a few weeks or longer for the paper work to be done. (Oh, we already have the player, according to the 'great' Guillem Balague who on deadline day, at 2.30pm, said the deal was practically done!)

Gundogan - Can't see Dortmund selling in January and he probably will go to Madrid.

I say, bring back Powell. A midfielder of ours who is playing regularly and playing well.

Suarez. Those goals. Dear God.

I really don't think United will finish top four this year. Been saying it for a while now. Really didn't think they would lose though. Just goes to show they ain't that great of a team this year.

As far as the Arsenal game goes, to only thing more shocking than Bendtner starting a game is Bendtner scoring a goal.

I'd let Powell continue to play regularly for Wigan, he's not ready for the first time yet. I must be the only one who's never really heard of Herrera, I said that in the Summer and since then I've not heard his name at all and as for Baines I'm not so sure. If I were Moyes I'd be looking at Luke Shaw.

Luke Shaw is definitely one for the future. Evra's getting on too so United could do with him.

Can't say much positive about his character but he is fantastic as a footballer - all sublime goals. LFC have to hold onto him in January if they have any ambition to get fourth. Him and Aguero are the best strikers atm - similiar but I'd have Suarez because he just has that attitude which can get him in trouble but as a fan, I like that in players, minus the biting!

I'd bring Powell back if we are not going to improve our midfield, really its become that bad a problem. Shaw's got potential but he's just recently signed a new deal so he seems likely to stay. Herrera I hadn't heard of much but he's valued at Bilbao and seems to ya know, bring the ball out from midfield forward unlike Cleverly, who can only pass it sideways.

The Herrara deal was a legit deal until it was found out you weren't talking to the players agents or his club about a deal but instead 3 random men...

No way the Luke Shaw deal goes ahead, he loves Southampton and realises right now he could be apart of something great staying there.

Gundogan could happen but with Dortmund losing Lewa in the summer to Bayern for free they won't settle for any less then around £50million.

Reus is also linked with United but won't leave because he loves Dortmund and realises the role he could get when lewa leaves.

You're biggest problem now is that teams no you want to buy players and similar how Arsenal have struggled in the past to get players in the winter window... Team wack up there prices and after spending £30million of a flop called Fellani may be reluctant to spending hundreds of millions to try and sort his mess out.

Luke Shaw doesn't really love Southampton. He's from London and is a lifelong Chelsea fan, and like anyone, would leave if the big clubs came calling - especially if it bettered his chance at becoming an England regular. These days signing a new contract doesn't mean shit - Benteke signed a new 4 year deal, but let's face it, he'll be gone soon enough.

Those guys "representing" wasn't us - the three men who went to the Spanish office for the Herrera buy-out clause were conmen. United made a bid for Herrera but was rejected as it wasn't near the buy out fee despite the 'reliable' Guillem Balague at 2.30pm on deadline day saying the deal was practically done, the fool.

Looking forward to the World Cup draw which is in the next hour or so. Dream group is Algeria, Switzerland and Iran but I'm expecting us to get an Argentina, Brazil etc..

I honestly don't care who we get in the groups, reckon we'll qualify for the next round although I am one of the more optimistic England fans that actually supports the team which is blasphemy these days.

England - what a group. Suarez vs. Gerrard. But tbh, on paper it looks very hard but alot of people said Arsenal wouldn't get out of their CL group and look where they are now, close to qualifying. But a big ask to go against Uruguay who've got a solid team and Italy ain't bad either. Tough travel for the first game but if they can remain in contention and get three points from Costa Rica then who knows?

Spain vs. Netherlands should be a must -game to watch. Expect the big seeds to get out but hope Bosnia do well at their first WC.

Croatia always gets Brazil. For fuck's sake. Either way, I'm happy with Croatia and USA's groups. To be the best you gotta beat the best.

Italy will beat us and Uruguay will give us a run for our money. If we draw with Costa Rica we're fucked.

Not the best, not the worst. Cue over-reaction from the press and pretty much the whole country.

I'll echo what SKS said - to be the best you have to beat the best. I'm realistic enough to admit we'll probably not win the tournament but I'm 100% confident of getting out of the group at the very least, what's the point in going at all if we're all resigned to falling at the first hurdle?

Uruguay and Italy are both beatable. Suarez and Cavani are dangerous and will hurt us if we let them but aside from them the rest of the team are ageing and aren't as quick as they once were which could be an advantage if Roy get's his tactics and line-up right. Italy are a good side but we held them for 120 minutes in the last Euro's despite them having all the ball and playing better than us, plus Pirlo is out long-term and might not make the game so if Pirlo doesn't play that boosts our chances dramatically in my book. The biggest obstacle England will face in my eyes is the weather - the climate is scorching which will possibly have a detrimental effect on the team but in saying that Italy are in the same boat. You'd fancy us to handle the Costa Ricans but football isn't that simple.

Group G is tasty - Germany, Portugal, Ghana and USA!

Looking forward to being absolutely blathered, crammed in a pub at 2am with my fellow countrymen awaiting kick-off. COME ON BOYZZZZ!!! :tim :tim :tim :tim :tim :tim

Are the pubs allowed to be open at that time?

(As you can see, my pub knowledge is extensive lol)

Most games after that are at 8pm and 5pm kick offs which is good. England need to avoid the negatives and focus on the positives. The reaction is already like - fuck it', we're not making it out lol.
