Weddings

Tomorrow I have wedding three of six for this year (the last of which is mine). I like weddings, they're fun, but man they really eat up your weekends.

How do you feel about weddings? Any big pet peeves?

I love weddings. Not the ceremony part. But the party afterwards. Mostly because it's an excuse to drink. Not fond of family weddings though. I really can't let loose with my parents there.

Besides, I really don't have that many family members that I actually like. I mean, sure, I love my immediate family and my extended family aren't bad people. They are just boring. I only talk to them because I have to. If I had to choose, I would rather be hanging out with any other people.

However, I have it under good authority that the girl my cousin is marrying has some very hot friends. I went to school with one of them and I know her quite well. She is gonna be there with a bunch of other girls so, there is that to look forward to.

I've never attended a wedding, actually. I'm somewhat glad of that fact for the time being as I don't actually own any particularly smart clothing and I'd feel a bit out of place showing up in jeans and a tee. :lol

Actually, while on that subject. I do have a pet peeve about when I first went to a wedding as an adult. Had to buy a suit. I've never owned a suit.

Everyone should own at least one suit. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't like weddings usually, unless they're for really close friends. The parties for those are always great. For other weddings I've been to, not so much. Dry receptions, weird traditions/religions, uncomfortable interruptions, you name it.. Though when it's a close friend you know 99.9% you won't have to worry about shit like that.

I dread getting married, should any woman ever take pity on me.

The cost of weddings is fucking ridiculous, and having my whole family gathered in one room with me as the centre of attention puts me off the idea entirely.

Not my wedding not my costs! All the weddings I have gone to are local so I never had to travel for a wedding. It just takes up a day and I agree with Hanley! everyone should have a suit!

I have 2 suits and I am not gonna lie, I kinda like playing dress up with them. They fit nicely and it's nice to see people dress for the occasion and have fun. I have never hooked up with a girl at a wedding, maybe the groups that go to the weddings I have been at are simply more low key and don't lend themselves to that.

I like weddings. I will be going to one in September.

Normally I hate weddings. The only one I ever liked and had fun at was my own :) I still remember that day I spent all day in a state of disbelief I didn't think I'd ever marry the woman of my dreams after everything I'd put her through over the years with my drugs and drinking and whatnot.
