My name is David Cunningham and I have been authorized to make a public statement on behalf of my client, Mr. @Circled Square (whose real name I am not at liberty to disclose).

My records indicate that Mr. Circled Square was banned from this forum on May 6, 2015, at approximately 3 PM in the afternoon. The following statement was later issued as reason for the ban:

Making derogatory comments of a sexual nature towards Mr. Tim and his fiancé.

I do question the amount of truth behind this claim, but there are more pressing issues to discuss at the moment. According to Article II, Section C, Page 34 of the World Wide Web Bill of Rights, “All individuals have the right to an attorney at the time of their ban, even if they cannot afford to pay for one.”

This right was blatantly denied to my client. He had no legal representation. No defense. No say in the matter. Therefore, his removal from this community was both illegal and unconstitutional. Being one of the few African American members of this forum, it is very reasonable to assume that racism has played a significant part in the maltreatment of Mr. Circled Square.

Most disconcerting of all, however, is the fact that my client has recently been experiencing symptoms of Post-Ban Syndrome. The Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary defines Post-Ban Syndrome as, and I quote:

A debilitating illness that develops in the cerebral cortex of the brain after an individual is unfairly banned from an online forum or virtual community.

Symptoms include dizziness, dementia, anxiety, trembling, insomnia, loss of appetite, trouble swallowing, hallucinations, memory loss, fatigue, incoherent speech, paranoia, nausea, poor bowel control, and suicidal thoughts. A cure has not yet been discovered.

This post clearly shows that my client is suffering from Post-Ban Syndrome. It is our intent to bring the individuals responsible to justice. You see, even before his ban my client was frequently ridiculed, assaulted, and ganged up on due to his views on certain political and/or social issues. Mr. Circled Square is a VISIONARY. A true pioneer of modern intellectualism. And as such, he does not intend to sit idly by and do nothing to improve this once-great community. Therefore, he is filing a lawsuit against SquaredCircle.net and its administrator Tim .

My client is now part of a growing list of disgruntled individuals which includes The Legend, Locke, and Bryan Eggers, among others. All of these men have been disrespected as a result of this extremely unsafe posting environment. I fear that more crimes will take place unless real change is instigated. Ladies and gentlemen, now is the time to act. Now is the time for those of you who feel oppressed to freely speak your minds without fear of persecution. To know what side you're on, you only need to ask yourself one question.

Tim : benevolent administrator who promotes discussion and companionship? Or tyrannical sadist who uses his position of power to abuse the innocent?

Now I understand your level of disconnect from this situation. Sure, it's hard to empathize with the "banned" (like the Leprosy victim being shunned from his community) but picture this for a minute. You're in the chatbox, and uhm...some, "witty banter" arises between friends, and all of a sudden, you're on the street. Searching. For anyone, anywhere, in the lonely banned world. Picture waking up every night in a cold sweat, reaching under your pillow for your knife, because of the night terrors (symptom of PBS) are out in full force. I've seen plenty of black brothers and sisters get treated poorly by the legal system. I thought I had escaped that when I moved to Canada. This made life extremely difficult for me. The hallucinations, the number 7 being seen wherever I go, the dry throat. It was only until I ran into David Cunningham that I was made aware of my mistreatment. Thank you, Mr Cunninghman, for flipping the forum on it's back, exposing it's disgusting underbelly of corruption.
