Riots all over Baltimore after funeral of Freddie Gray

Basically, this guy suffered a fatal spinal cord injury after being arrested by police. His funeral today, and apparently gangs and other groups chose this day to have huge riots all throughout Baltimore. As a result, the Orioles game today was postponed and tons of other shit in the city was closed down. Looting, fires, etc. Really ugly scene.

I swear these fucking idiots use any excuse to riot for free shit.

Can anyone actually provide a single modern instance of when a riot has provided change for the good? IMO, participants in a riot are proving nothing more than there own blatant disrespect for societies rules and there willingness to not give a fuck about anything other than themselves.

Imagine this scenario: A group of 1000 prorestors walk around the streets of Baltimore. Signs wavng, but no attempt to engage the police. The news picks the story up, but police attempt to disband the legal protest. Now the whole country sees the cops in the negative light and real discussion begins.

Other scenario: Same group destroys stuff and loots stores. The news still picks this story up. Now all the whole country sees is the rioters acting like idiots.
