I'd never actually heard this theory before, that's pretty interesting. Of course, I've never actually seen the movie, either

There's faulty movie logic like every two seconds in TDKR.

Yeah, the plot and events of that film really don't hold up under any scrutiny.

One thing that I've heard people point out a lot is that Bruce is so famous that he'd be recognised while hiding out, and his cover would be blown almost immediately. But I think there's something even sillier about the end of the film.

Bruce faked his own death, but he did so as Batman. So what was the point? Nobody would think Bruce was dead just because Batman was killed in the explosion. And he left all the Batman equipment to "Robin" too, so pretty soon it'll become clear that Batman wasn't killed either. It would have been easier for Bruce to just set the plane on autopilot straight away, and save his friends all that grief. Cruel bastard.

It feels like nobody thought the end of the movie through.
