Apparently, it has been not been critically lauded (they've banned those who've made negative remarks IIRC) but the cashing in of this film is incredible. Went into a cheap bookshore and saw a biography of Jamie Dornan, the actor who plays Grey and tbh, never heard of him before this film! (Think he had done some BBC stuff I believe)

It's pretty appropriate really. They're both essentially torture porn movies. Though with more emphasis on the torture in one and on the porn in the other.

Here's what I want to know. Who are all these people? I have never met a person who doesn't think this sounds terrible. I've never met a person even vaguely curious about watching the film or reading the book. I had a similar reaction to Twilight, but the audience for those movies was teenage girls, so it made sense that I wouldn't know people who liked them. But with 50 Shades of Gray, I'm genuinely not sure where this amount of paying customers are coming from.
