I've been going to a few high intensity workout classes lately and have found out that they also do a monthly insanity plan, where they hold classes every morning and give you a diet plan to follow for that month. It's £150 for the month and I am tempted to do it, but wanted to see how worth it it will be.

There's a UFC fight tomorrow night between two guys who have heart rates of 34 and 32bpm respectively. That's crazy. I'm currently at 72bpm when resting.

I ate foods I wouldn't normally eat, did no exercise at all and I'm sure I spent at least a week of December drunk. So January came and I signed up for another round of insanity. I honestly felt like I'd undone all the hard work I had done in November, but thankfully I only put an inch and a half on my waist, making my starting point 30.5 inches.
I've just completed my first week and it's a slightly different plan to the last one I did. Now we do one day insanity, then one day functional training consisting of kettle bells/TRX/weights/battle ropes. I'm not quite into it just yet, but I think going into the second week I might be.
I'm also wanting to add some extra exercise into my days but am not sure what. I don't like running. I've tried and just don't enjoy it. Was thinking of swimming, but I haven't swam properly in so long.
In this first week I've also struggled with diet. There's still temptations left over from Christmas, boxes of biscuits and chocolates so going into the second week I need to keep an eye on that.

I had the same conversation with the mother in law, she wanted a plan because she wanted to lose some weight. When she told me that she couldn't start until she had eaten the rest of the leftovers and cake and biscuits and donuts I just informed her that she would remain fat and moved on.
