Your Favorite Year of WWE?

Title says it all. What year of WWE was your favorite.

Mine would have to be 2003. I was seven and almost everything i did revolved around wrestling. It was all me and my friends cared about. Wrestlemania 19 was awesome, Brock Lesner was a beast. Along with Lesner, Benoit, Angle and Jericho were my favorites. Also HCTP came out towards the end of the year, which i still play to this day and is still my favorite wrestling game.

I would have to say 1991. Now i was only 6 years old then but remembering how "real" i thought it was and all the amazing characters there were after going back and re watching a lot of the material from that year i have to say, was pretty amazing.


Ric Flair winning the Royal Rumble in 1991 always sticks out to me for some reason.

Bob Backlund being a nut as always.

Macho Man was amazing

And of course the huckster himself.

I would say 2004-2005. I'll never forget watching WM 20 and then going from there. I really started watching at the beginning of the JBL WWE Championship reign and Randy Orton becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history. I was hooked ever since, been a rough patch here and there but for the most part awesome.

1997 was pretty fucking awesome. But really, 1996-2003 was an awesome time for wrestling in general.

2004/5 when evolution was around, It was fun watching those guys take over the show almost every week..

I was never a big ECW or WCW fans so to me it didn't matter that a lot of the huge guys (Hogan, Flair, Macho Man, Sting, Goldberg) didn't show. I loved it. I was young and still sort of thought that maybe they would win.

2001 is a good shout. It was certainly one of the years where all of the big five pay per views all delivered. 1997 was great as well.

1992 was probably my favourite year from a personal perspective. A lot of my first memories of wresting originate from that year (Flair winning the Rumble, multiple feuds and matches leading into Wrestlemania VIII etc). The match quality was also pretty entertaining with Flair/Savage, Bret/Piper, Warrior/Savage, Bret/Bulldog, Flair/Bret and Bret/Shawn all being great. At the same time, it seemed as if the transition from the Hogan era "really" happened in this year, despite the fact that he did return for a couple of months in 1993. Seeing guys like Bret, Bulldog and Shawn headlining big pay per view matches was awesome.

2002 is also a year I remember fondly. There were some great feuds, awesome matches (notably the not so talked about tag team matches involving Edge/Mysterio, Los Guerrero's and Benoit/Angle) and the beginning of the brand spilt!

I'd probably go with 1999 or 2000. Right in the height of the Attitude Era, looking back now it's not nearly as good as I remember it . But at the time, literally pretty much everyone I knew in school was obsessed with wrestling and I remember Raw and Smackdown being must-see TV, which seems like ancient history given what we see now.

I loved 1994 and 1995 too. Those were the first years I really have memories of watching wrestling and my fandom was really starting to grow. I remember Royal Rumble 1994 being the first PPV my parents rented for me, with Mania X two months later being my first WrestleMania.

My favorite year in total of the WWF would have to be the second half of 1998 and the first half of 1999. So much going on. Stone Cold/ Vince rivalry, The Corporate Rock vs Mankind, Ministry Taker, solid mid-card feuds, I could go on. My favorite year of WWE was 2003. No comparing the two though.

2005 for me but I vaguely remember watching in the first few years of the 2000s and it was awesome.

The first year that came to my mind was 2003. I was always into wrestling way way back but it really wasn't until 2002 that I started really watching it religiously. 2003 was a great year. SD was great back then. They had so many great matches. 2003 also had on of my favourite PPVs ever, which was Survivor Series.
