Drake of course killed it, something he is used to. The Donald Sterling joke and Blake Griffin segments were amazing. Definitely one of the most memorable ESPYs in a while

Ronda Rousey absolutely deserved the Best Female Athlete award, no questions about it.

Drake needs to just go away and stop riding these athletes' coattails. Stick to music.

Glad KD won, he was definitely deserving. And yeah, nobody else but Rousey really stood a chance for the best female athlete.

Liked: Stuart Scott's speech
Michael Sam video package
Drake during certain parts of the show.
The winners were all pretty spot on.

Disliked: No mention of William Clay Ford during the list of those that passed this year. (This is unacceptable)
The whole show is essentially ESPN blowing itself
Some of the segments dragged on way to long.
Award shows using a laugh track :facepalm
Drake during the rest of the show.

Yeah I didn't watch. I would be interested to see the video package for Sam. But I agree, ESPN is nothing but a giant commercial for ESPN a lot of the times. The ESPYs are especially bad.

The highlight of the night for me was Stuart Scotts speech. He brought home to all of us that life is to too short not to live it to the fullest and not to put minor issues on a pedestal with all that's going on around us. I pray for his recovery.

Still sucked. Crowd didn't really seem to be into it either.

Alec Baldwin at NFL Honors was far better.

Not really. Crowd was into it except for the white people who were too sensitive to handle a joke about racism or the fact that they don't understand urban culture at all.

Alec Baldwin was WOAT at NFL Honors.

Not really, Drake got great reviews. All of his ESPY segments were praised on reddit and social media. So calling it average is just your personal opinion and not the general consensus of how people felt about it.

And yes, the only people that felt uncomfortable were the white people in the audience. God forbid those people ever attend a Dave Chappelle or Paul Mooney show.

In general I think the ESPY crowds are way flatter than the Oscars or Emmys for example. I find a lot of the athletes don't know how to really laugh at themselves when hearing a joke. In the opening monologue, Drake did okay but he wasn't helped by the audience much.

Hilarious quote from Dana White this week:

“How about this? She got an ESPY and opted to get her surgeries instead, get them done and get them healed faster instead of showing up and doing the ESPY thing; 2.2 million people were watching the ESPYs to see Ronda win. Which is like the Oscars, winning Best Actress."

lmao. Dana loves the Ronda circlejerk.
