Who else is over Jennifer Lawrence?

It just seems like she tries way too hard to be a "normal" "quirky" person, and her shtick has gotten old. I cringed so hard when she was presenting at the Oscars earlier this year. I don't really understand the obsession surrounding her. She's a decent actress but he's so obviously trying to manufacture this image surrounding her.

I'm not entirely sure I agree that it's manufactured though. Seems like that's probably just the way she is, but if she has a smart PR team they'll try to make her out to be the "girl next door" who everyone loves. That's the type of image that has already helped her career and would continue to do so. People like to see celebrities and say "oh, they're just like me" and that they're not perfect all the time.

I think it was probably natural at first, but when she/her people realized how much of a hit it made her, they've tried to force it even more.

I guess don't have any problem with Lawrence herself, she seems like a nice enough person. I'm just tired of the hooplah surrounding her and this image that's being propped up of her.

I actually quite like her as a personality, even though she's a bit much. The reason that she became so popular is because she's so much different than everyone else. She appears to just act the way she wants to and doesn't worry about coming across as cool or sophisticated or sexy or anything else. Which is admirable really.

The media appears to be turning on her now though, and the silly thing is that it's for all the same reasons that they fell in love with her in the first place. It's like it was great that she had the courage to act like herself, but that's getting old now, couldn't she act like someone else for a while? It's kinda dumb.

Although of course it was bound to happen, because of the ridiculous media frenzy that has surrounded her over the last couple of years. It was so constant that people were going to get sick of her eventually, it's just the nature of the beast. People are going to look for the next fad. But I don't hold any of it against her as a person.

Also, she's just a fucking awesome actress. I've really liked her in just about everything I've seen her in.

Nah, I like her; she's talented and not robotic. I don't really get the thinking that she must be faking her personality either - some people are just a bit weirder than the average.
