Saints fan logic:

They've viciously criticised Shaw, Lallana, Lovren etc, as they believe that when a contract is signed, a player should abide by it and honour it, no matter what. By that logic, their transfer targets Tadic and Pelle should honour their contracts for their respective clubs too, which means that they wouldn't be able to move to Southampton.

I point out this hypocrisy on Twitter... and it's "the most retarded thing I've ever heard" claimed one Saints fan.

So it's okay for Saints to buy players from other clubs who are under contracts, but if one of these other clubs does it to Saints, it's a grievous crime - get FIFA involved! Call the police!

I spoke to one Saints fan about Lallana on Twitter, luckily seem to have avoided the pack of them that Porky seems to be engaging with. But yeah, Lallana got ripped for his behaviour but I wonder how they will behave about Lovren and his comments today!

As much as I hate Saints, Lovren has behaved like a prick. Their criticisms of Lallana were way off though.

Liverpool are just going nuts with the signings right now, making that Suarez money go to work already. Could be a hell of a team next season.

Saw Spurs do it wrong with the Bale money and the players Liverpool have signed are really based on one season (Lallana, Lambert, Lovren potentially) and Can who I've not seen but is reported to be good. They could do with a big name signing I feel, Sanchez but he's off to Arsenal.

BBC is reporting they're also close to wrapping up deals for Divock Origi (Lille) for £10m and Lazar Markovic (Benfica) for £25m.

^Again, Origi has come to prominence on the back of the World Cup and Markovic is unknown but we saw with Tottenham when they were buying Lamela and others and we thought they'd have a good season and look how they ended up. I hope Rodgers isn't buying players without real research into them. But the club seem to have given him the reins over the transfer and axed the transfer board that was set up when he arrived.

Origi though, whilst only known for his efforts during the World Cup, is a better purchase in the long term than most youngsters. He's 19 and now has experience in the biggest tournament in football against top defenders. I'm happy with him.

Markovic I've not seen much of but I'm getting pissed off with all the football experts on Twitter raving about how amazing he is. Ignorant as my opinion may be all I'm seeing is another stupidly large sum of money on another relatively unknown player.

Arsenal are busting a gut trying to persuade and wrap up a deal for Sanchez for only like 5 million more than Liverpool are reported to be paying for players like Markovic and Lovren - it's fucking frustrating. Why aren't they using this money to try sign Shaqiri? Why not bid for a player like Hummels who's rumoured to be off to United. I know it's not as simple as I'm making it...but it really is.

Yeah, I've wondered about Liverpool's signings. There seems to be much better players out there for an equal price, or even less.

According to Opta, Ron Vlaar is the best Premier League player at the World Cup so far:

25 million for Markovic :facepalm

I guarantee that should Shaqiri be sold this Summer he'll go for less than that.

Hummels ain't leaving Dortmund. Not this summer anyway.

The Shaqiri one was something that was rumoured strongly on social media but it seems to have waned and with Markovic and Lovren joining, that's probably not going to happen.

In other news, Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano has died. Before our time but definitely, a symbol of Real Madrid's domination in the 50s-60s. Also seems to have behaved impeccably and with class, qualities that at times Madrid might have been worth noting especially since Perez' first time in charge and the way they've handled transfers. But RIP Di Stefano.

Also, if you need a chuckle at the end of a Monday:

Sanchez' family the deciding factor in him heading to Arsenal according to reports - they'd rather live in the capital :(

So there was a guy from the England national team at a bar I frequent on Saturday night (I wasn't there, but a friend of mine was there and met him). James Millner or Miliner or something like that. I asked Prophet about him, apparently he's a decent player? Well, yeah, not entirely sure why he's in Milwaukee of all places, but he was there :lol

He is a decent player, gets a bit too much stick these days but was class for Villa. He's being horribly misused at Man City. Come back James :(

Ross fucking McCormack? He's worth about 3mil I'd say, that's a ludicrous valuation.
