This poster pisses me off, I don't think its even the official wwe promotional poster for ss, but just because it has stupid photo of Brock and a couple year old photo of cena on it does not meen they are fighting each other. Authenticity aside, if it had a simple "vs" in between them I would think otherwise.

Tough, because we don't know what Battleground's card is going to look like but this is what I'd like to see:

Brock Lesnar (c) vs Daniel Bryan (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Roman Reigns vs Triple H

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins (No Hold Barred match for the MITB contract)

Randy Orton vs CESARO vs John Cena vs Bray Wyatt (#1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Luke Harper & Erick Rowan vs The Usos (WWE Tag Team Championships)

Cody Rhodes vs Goldust

Sheamus vs Bad News Barrett (US and IC Unification match)

Paige vs Brie Bella (WWE Diva's Championship)

Rusev vs Big E (Steel Cage match)

Re: Early SummerSlam Card Predictions

Some people are presuming Rollins or Ambrose will win the Money in the Bank briefcase and that it'll be on the line again in this match. I really hope that they don't do this. It's such a contrived idea, and they go back to it constantly. I wouldn't mind if they ever came up with a good reason for the briefcase holder to put it on the line, but they never do. There's no reason for someone to just give away an opportunity at a title shot. It's stupid.

Here's a few predictions for what might be on the card:

WWE TITLE MATCH - Daniel Bryan vs Kane: This doesn't sound that entertaining, but it makes sense from a storyline perspective. If Bryan is ready for Summerslam then getting the title back on him is probably going to be the priority and it makes sense for him to beat the person who put him out of action. If they don't want it to be Kane then they could use Orton or Triple H as the transitional champ instead, so it's somebody from the Authority but I think that Kane makes the most sense.

Triple H v Roman Reigns: This is the most obvious match to me. Not in that it will definitely happen, but in that it definitely should. It could help put Reigns on the map working with a big name like Triple H; the veteran can help guide him through a singles match without making him look sloppy and if Reigns wins then it's a huge feather in his cap without putting him in a position that he's not yet ready to deal with.

Rollins v Ambrose: It just makes sense to get a bit of mileage out of this feud and Summerslam would be a good place to end it. I don't agree with the idea of putting the Money in the Bank contract on the line if one of them have it, but the match itself still sounds like the best idea. If one of them does have the Money in the Bank contract then maybe the other one could win this match so that they can both leave the feud with the potential to move further up the card.

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar: I don't give a shit about this match, but I think it might happen. I don't think it'll happen for the title, but given the lack of faces on the roster right now, if they want something for Lesnar to do then they almost have to pair him with Cena. Bryan is the only alternative. A match with Bryan would have been superior, but there isn't time to build to it anymore. There isn't a lot of time to put the title on either of them and even if they managed it, then it would mean two transitional title reigns in quick succession, which doesn't sound like something they would do or like anything I would appreciate really.

Paige vs Who the Fuck Cares: There'll be a women's match and nobody will give a damn. I think they probably wanted to revisit Paige vs AJ which could have been enjoyable, but now that looks less likely. And there's nobody else who's even remotely interesting. It might be one of the Bellas or something, I don't know. Who gives a fuck anyway?

Dust Brothers vs Wyatt Family: Makes sense as a feud. I wouldn't be surprised if Bray Wyatt doesn't have a match at the pay per view and just cuts promos and stays at ringside for this match.

Rusev vs Sheamus: This could happen and nobody would care. But they're still building Rusev and it seems inevitable that he'll get a match at Summerslam. In fact, I'd go as far as to predict that if Lesnar doesn't return for Summerslam, Rusev will probably fight Cena. :facepalm

The show is so lacking in faces at the moment that I reckon some of the biggest heels will be left without matches on the show. Guys like Randy Orton, Kane or Bray Wyatt could very easily fall through the cracks here. It's an awkward position for WWE to be in.

@Hanely! If Ambrose wins MITB HHH could force Ambrose to have a match for the briefcase. And just to make sure he keeps the case long enough to face Rollins, he could also interfere every time Ambrose tries to cash in. It also makes winning the title even better because it would take beating the Authority and the champ in one night.

Mostly as a grudge match with a little stipulation added to it. If Ambrose wins, then Rollins should demand a shot seeing as Ambrose thwarted his chance. There have been instances of this type of match being contrived, but with this feud, there would be a good reason.

Yeah, even that seems pretty fake to me though. Winning the Money in the Bank match entitles the winner to a title shot no matter what. It's a contract that is formed between the company and its employees. The Authority are able to abuse their power, but they haven't shown them as being allowed to invalidate the results of matches.

Now they could work around that in some way - like they could get some leverage over Ambrose and they could pressure him to put his contract on the line in exchange for his job. If they had grounds for releasing him for violently attacking somebody or something like that, but agreed to let it slide if he put his shot on the line. That could work, but is probably a bit too clever for them.

I just think it's something we don't need to get into. Even if they come up with a completely valid story reason for Ambrose/Rollins to put their title shot on the line, it still cheapens the initial Money in the Bank match. It's better to not go there.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

-WWE desperately needs Network subscribers, and the first round will run out before Summerslam, so putting the top two stars in the company against each other is a must. They can't depend on Bryan to build one of their most important shows ever around, nor should they push him with the seriousness of his injury.

Triple H vs. Roman Reigns

-This has been brewing for a while. What better way to kickstart a future bell cow champion than knocking off The Game?

Randy Orton vs. Batista

-If Dave is done doing promo work for his movie, I can't imagine WWE wouldn't put him on the second biggest show of the year. Batista is mad Orton is getting pushed by Triple H after all the broken promises. Orton is mad Dave walked out on Evolution. Heel vs. Heel. Here we go. The WrestleMania main event nobody wanted, only this time the show isn't built around it.

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins (Street Fight)

Dean goes crazy all around the building. Seth jumps off stuff. The wrestling world weeps with joy.

Bray Wyatt vs. Cesaro

-They have a confrontation in the MITB match and it boils over to this big match that kicks off Cesaro's face turn. Eventually, he gets sick of Heyman and gives him a Big Swing. Heyman returns sometime around Royal Rumble with Brock to kick off a feud for Wrestlemania.

United States Championship: Sheamus vs. Rusev

-Seriously, with Rusev's gimmick how could he not go after the UNITED STATES title? Could we perhaps have a Russian Federation Champion after Summerslam? This match could actually be cool if only because Sheamus is one of the few people WWE will let look strong enough against Rusev to have a competitive match.

WWE Tag Team Championship: The Wyatt Family vs. Goldust and Stardust

-Scary bad guys vs. Scary good guys. Cody and Harper do some sick areal sequence.

Some Crap Divas Match: Paige vs. (Insert Total Divas Character Here)

-Exactly what it sounds like.

Some alternates...

If Bryan is healthy, he blows off his feud with THE DEMON KANE in a Buried Alive match. I could also see Stephanie McMahan vs. Bre Bella. Can't help but think BNB won't be ready by then, and WWE won't strip him of the belt so close to the Bryan situation.

WWEWHC: Cena vs Brock part deux
Roman Reigns vs HHH
No DQ match: Rollins vs Ambrose
Tag Titles: Usos vs Harper and Rowan vs The Dust Brothers
Y2J vs Bray Wyatt
US/IC unification match: Dolph vs Cesaro. Dolph wins the battle royal at battle ground and Cesaro beats Sheamus at battle ground.
Rusev vs Swagger. Swagger is the only person not distracted by Lana because his wife is just as hot.
Divas Title: Paige vs AJ

WWE TITLE MATCH - John Cena (c) vs Brock Lesnar

Two of the biggest stars in the company going at it on the second biggest pay-per-view of the year? I think so.

Roman Reigns vs Triple H

This is a money match - the crowd reaction at the end of RAW will support that. They're doing a good job of building Reigns up, hopefully they keep it going.

Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt

I'm very hopeful that this is going to be a brilliant feud. It's great for Bray that he still has someone good to work with that'll prevent him from drifting down the card in terms of interest and I'm pretty sure Jericho will put him over at the end. Win-win for everyone involved.

WWE TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - The Uso's (c) vs The Wyatt Family

I did think that The Wyatt Family were going to win the titles at the last PPV and we'd eventually see them face off against Goldust and Stardust but honestly from what I've seen of them I fucking hope it doesn't happen. I'm not a fan of the 'dusts' and would rather them stay away from the tag titles. That said I think The Uso's and The Wyatt Family have amazing chemistry together and bring out the best in each other whenever they're in the ring together. So I'll keep this on the card as more of a wishful thinking booking and say that should it happen this'll finally be the time Rowan and Harper win the belts. (I'd run Jericho and The Uso's vs Bray, Harper and Rowan at Battleground)

WWE DIVAS TITLE MATCH - AJ Lee (c) vs Paige

Literally the only interesting match they could run at this point. Make Paige heel and you'll see her flourish.

STREET FIGHT - Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose

Another money match, you could have Rollins put his briefcase on the line for added intrigue but I don't think you need too in order to sell people on this match. It's already a hot feud that people want to see and as someone said putting it under this stipulation allows Ambrose to be suitably violent and Rollins to be suitably showstealing.

FLAG MATCH - Rusev vs Jack Swagger

This is another that I don't expect to happen namely because I expect Rusev to run through Swagger at the next PPV and move on to someone else (Big Show, Henry?) but based on the huge face reaction Swagger received on RAW it makes a fuck ton of sense to have 'The Real American' fight for National Pride against the evil Russians in something like a flag match. Use the Battleground PPV to build him up as an actual threat to Rusev before having them open the show at Summerslam. Another unlikely one though.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those are a few that I think make sense/would like to see. Obviously I've missed out a few obvious big names like Orton, Cesaro, Sheamus etc... but I don't think the WWE knows what to do with them and I certainly don't so I'll stick with the ones I've listed rather that try fit others in for the sake of it.
