Game of Thrones

Postby UTK » Apr 24, '14, 1:40 pm

I hearby declare this a spoiler-free topic.

I started Game of Thrones last week and I love it. I didn't expect to like it because I'm not a particularly big fan of any fantasy film or series. But it's really good. Does it get better as it goes on?

Yes, it gets better and better.

I'll leave now if this is a spoiler-free zone.

Dude. It ONLY gets better. I'm jealous that you are experiencing it for the first time.

How far in are you?

The show doesn't really get better or worse, it just keeps changing and evolving over time. It's a great set up, because if you're not interested in one character, before too long you'll be with someone else that you really love. If one story doesn't interest you, there's several others going at the same time. And a surprise left turn could come at any point in any story.

It's unpredictable, which always keeps it interesting. I think things are elevated to a new level in season/book 2 though. That's when most of the cards are on the table and you know what kind of story this is going to be.

Just finished the sixth episode of the first season. I'm assuming Sean Bean is going to be killed soon because he gets killed in everything. But don't tell me.
