He's a player you have to shape the whole team around and if he's having a bad game, which is more often than his good games to be perfectly honest, it'll cost you. He's lightweight, loses the ball to easily in key areas, which have proved to be costly for us in the past. His passing at times is atrocious, his decision making is baffling. He'll keep the ball far too long, trying to take it around every player when he has four or five better options staring him in the face. More often that not, I've seen him run into a crowd of players when he's got a acres of space to move into. He doesn't score many, and his assist record for Norwich really isn't all it's cracked up to be, despite often being called our most creative player who can unlock defences. He's one of the most frustrating players you'll ever see. He can dribble a 120 yards, sideways, without ever moving forward. Frankly, Jonny Howson is a far better player in his role, and I think now RVW's fit, he could easily fill the role Hoolahan plays. He's stronger on the ball, a far more intelligent player and a better passer.

As far as I'm concerned, Villa are welcome to him.

unrelated question.... Are you sick of the sick of Elmander yet?

I quite like Elmander to be honest. I mean we had Grant Holt last year and Elmander's not unlike him in style of play, but infinitely more mobile ... so it's like we upgraded lol. He's assisted on as many goals as Hoolahan has this year and scored more, so I'm not gonna argue with Hughton playing him ahead of Wes.

A year ago yesterday we were about to beat Villa 3-1. Isn't it funny how time flies when you're doing well but tends to drag when you're not?

Talking of Capital One, City 3-0 up after 40 minutes, they'll be going for 5-6 that way they can play second string/youth in the second leg to rest up for January madness

It's a sad case of the times when I'm hoping that Sunderland edge us out in the second leg to avoid us getting a battering by City in the final at Wembley.

^^^ I'd hate to be playing City right now, and to think they've got Aguero to come back aswell

Also:
Sky Sources: Jermain Defoe to join MLS side Toronto FC on Monday on a permanent deal.

Also Taylor Twellman(former mls & us player) said Michael Bradley is apparently joining Toronto from Roma

Big Sam is sinking deep

5-0 to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, knocked out of the FA Cup in a team majority of young players
6-0 to Man City today, pretty much out of the Carling Cup, in a team mixed with experience/young.

His saviour?

Yup, that's right.

ANDY CARROLL.

Yea, I think it's safe to say we're into the Capital One Cup final. :lol

Rony Lopes looked great today and I hope he can get some more time on the pitch while getting some rest for the starters.

Dzeko and Negredo have been brilliant this season and even though Dzeko is mainly a sub, he has star quality.

Pellegrini deserves more of the love from the fans - every home is a must go. Know they loved Mancini but Pellegrini > Mancini for me.

It's hard not to like him, Pellergrini. Calm, polite and his blue eyes are ones that would kill you by just looking at you if he was pissed off.

He has similar eyes to Pierluigi Collina. When they stare at you, you know you're fucked.

Whose eyes are scarier, Manuel Pellegrini or Pierlugi Collina?

There's only ONE way to find out!

FIIIIGGHHHTT!!

Pellegrini
[hide]Image[/hide]

OR

Collina
[hide]Image[/hide]

Pellegrini for me. Collina's scary in a "OMG He looks like alien lolz" sort of way. Not menacing enough - maybe he'd be better with hair.

p.s can someone check if the image coding works for them? Not working trying to put those pictures up.

That's what I thought. I'm not disappointed that he's leaving - he's a very good striker and it'd be wrong to begrudge him a step up in class, he's earned it. It's just.. Huddersfield? Obviously they're better than us but it just doesn't seem that much of a step forward y'know? If anything it's a sideways step. Nahki has been linked with QPR, Leicester, Sunderland and as of yesterday was even 6/4 to move to Aston Villa.

Money talks I guess!

If you needed anymore reason to say that Bayern love their fans, to save their fans having to pay the full price (£90ish) to watch them play Arsenal at Arsenal's ground they're paying nearly a quarter of every fans ticket mean tickets are now like £50ish, they're only paying in total like £75000 but how many clubs do you see doing that.
