Even City winning the league ahead of Liverpool doesn't hide the farce of United losing 2-0, at home, to relegated Cardiff.

On the title race, all the hype about it being the "greatest" title race or the "greatest" league since 92 is OTT. The former was a competitive battle because both teams were so good, however it didn't have the thrills and spills it could have done when Liverpool opened up a lead. Teams below have to do so much to catch both of those teams.

Villa my tip to go up - they've hit form at the right time but as mentioned, Leeds wouldn't be a bad bet although the Man United-Leeds rivalry won't have the same intensity on the pitch compared to the last time both were in the top division, but also for the joy that it will bring my work colleague who is a massive fan!

Happy for you both.

I’ll just enjoy League 2 on my own then.

Congrats to Villa and Norwich and Sheffield United.

Also, England fans abroad results in another embarrassing fallout pre-Holland in Porto, and many described as the "minority" or "stag do" mentality but odd, I can't remember many stag dos ending in battles with the police and typically, this cunt is around to live up to his hooligan tag:

Villa have signed Jota from Birmingham. Rumours are that a bid for Benrahma at Brentford is being lined up.

Whilst they're both good players - at Championship level - I'm concerned about this transfer strategy. Whilst I don't want to "do a Fulham", I also don't want to buy a whole bunch of players from midtable teams from the league below either. That was basically Paul Lambert's transfer strategy, and it all ended in relegation.

Not overly enthused about the summer business so far, young talent (James, Wan-Bissaka) promising however not sure spending £80m on Maguire will be a major improvement to the defence with he's got to work with one of Smalling, Jones, and Rojo. Pogba and Lukaku, for however much they want to go, will offer more than the replacements and frankly, their transfer fee and wages are astronomical for clubs to buy them. Ole needs to start speaking about the present, than the past or the future.
