So, after The Rock gave this extensive interview to GQ recently, all the talk around a future presidential bid has stoked up again (nicely timed for his Baywatch promotional work) and considering Trump made it all the way to the White House, Rock succeeding wouldn't be beyond the realm of imagination.
I'd vote for him based on who he is a person (he's articulate, funny, polite and a cool guy) but there has to be lot of substance behind his thinking and policies, for me. Liked his answer on the Muslim ban. I was under the impression he was a Republican based on a 2000 appearance at their convention but it seems it was part of a WWE push to encourage voting but no-one really knows which party he's leaning towards, if any.
We've seen in France, an independent coming out of nowhere to win the Presidency but doubt that could be translated in America from my understanding, but who knows..
Plenty of time of course, but if he wanted to run in 2020 he'd need to put some preparation and planning to do so and he's got movies in the pipeline till 2018.
Thoughts?
