On the bottom end is DMX with just over 3100. The top end is Aesop Rock, with 7,392. Wu Tang Clan has six in the top 23!

A good chunk of the artists located in this study are actually over what Shakespeare would be listed at. Shakespeare is considered by professionals to have possibly had the largest vocabulary of all time. Throughout his entire published works he used more than 28,000 words, suggesting he had a vocabulary of more than 100,000.
