Create a Superband

any musicians alive or dead to be in a super group.... the only rule is they all have to be in the same genre... so you couldn't pick Pavarotti to lead in a band whose lead guitarist is Slash.

Lead Guitar: Randy Rhoads
2nd Guitar: Eddie Van Halen
Bass/Vocals: Geddy Lee
Drums: Neil Peart

I wanted to build a band around Freddie Mercury and Randy Rhoads as they are probably my two favorite musicians. I also feel they would have been great together if they had worked together. I then added Geddy Lee on Bass and back up vocals because Rush is fucking awesome and Geddy Lee is one of my favorite bassists and vocalists. I also think he'd slide into a line up with Freddie and Randy real well. For drums I thought about Roger Taylor because he has the Queen connection with Freddie but Neil Peart is my favorite drummer and tops my list of best drummer(Keith Moon and John Bonham are right up there) so I had to choose Peart. And then finally I wanted a second guitarist because I love guitar. Brian May was a hard choice not to choose as were Jimmy Page, Sammy Hagar and Alex Lifeson as I adore those men and think they'd have been great fits. But in the end I had to choose the one, the only, Eddie Van Halen. He's #2 on my all-time guitarist list right after Randy and I think the two would make sweet guitar music love to our collective ears.
