He may very well like being the way he is, I'm not disputing that, nor am I telling him to be any other way. but to go from one thing, to pretty much the polar opposite in such a short span of time, makes the "current" Bieber come across very disingenuous. It reeks of a kid, trying to break out of a certain mold and fit in with a different crowd ... a crowd that is mostly comprised of black hip hop artists ... that he just doesn't quite fit into. And no, it has nothing to do with the colour of his skin, and everything to do with his personality and the way he projects himself. The style of clothing, the tattoos, the affected voice he puts on ... it doesn't go with the rest of the aesthetic

If I developed a sudden interest in Mariachi music, fair enough, but if I started wearing sombreros and growing out a nice little dirty tash, being the vanilla kid from Norwich ... I'd expect people to have some questions, and perhaps think the sudden change in dress and personality is a little laughable. That's the way I feel when I look at Bieber.

And at the end of the day, you seem to be taking what was a very simple joke a little bit to heart, and Justin Biever really isn't worth arguing over. Can we at least agree on that much?

Maybe this was just the guy he was going to eventually turn into regardless. There are plenty of hip-hop artists who act and dress nothing like him. Bieber is quite the arrogant person but I have met plenty of Caucasian males with the same personality. And Bieber does not dress that much differently, if any, than a good amount of Caucasian males you will come across in America. Bieber just happens to be rich and thus can afford far nicer things. I don't really see anything he does that makes it seem like he is trying to be something he is not, considering it all seems to come across natural for him.

But to be honest, my main issue is, no offense to you, it just sounds pretty ignorant to say he is trying to act black.

Well if we're going to use the excuse of him acting like this because his rich and was famous at a young age, how come someone like Drake doesn't act out like this?



The reason why I compare the two is because they're both from the same country and he became well known as a musician at a young age but not as young as Bieber. Also he is really rich as well and of course rappers have a rep for being wreckless or w/e.

I also hate the term "acting black". There's no such thing as trying to be "black".

I wasn't trying to say Bieber is acting like this because he is famous. My point was while his change might seem sudden, he is only 20 years old. People begin to transform around 16/17 all the time. Bieber's personality might have developed to this stage regardless.
