Love Actually is a hell of a film actually. I think it's the only one of those schmaltzy films focusing on a bunch of different groups on a particular holiday (New Years Eve, Valentines Day, etc.) that's actually any good. I watch it with the family over Christmas every couple of years and it's always good for a bit of a laugh.
I think that's because Love Actually focused on telling stories that made sense and had good characters, as opposed to "Let's see how many star names and faces we can fit on the poster!"
Used to be A Christmas Story, but now it's Elf. I still watch the former, but god I love Elf. There are few films that I like Will Ferrell in, but Elf[ is definitely one.
