The Nightmare on Elm Street series is honestly one of favorite movie franchises, even outside of the horror genre. Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left & Scream are some other notable works. This man's legacy will forever be known in the horror genre.
Will be truly missed, R.I.P

As stated in a previous thread, horrors were never really my kind of thing. With that being said though, this man is responsible for a lot of memories I have as a kid staying up all night round my friends house, watching these type of movies. RIP.
I briefly know of someone who has acquainted with him on a few occasions before, and apparently, he was one of the sweetest, most honest and humble figures working in the industry. A sad loss, indeed, and an extremely talented filmmaker, even if some of his work is mediocre.
