No I kid, I can sort of understand criticisms against Ghostbusters but in the end it's one of the funniest, most charming passion projects of the 80s. It almost personified the best things about that decade of filmmaking. I didn't really appreciate it as much until I saw it on the big screen last year. The matte paintings and widescreen shots just don't deliver as they should on an old VHS or on TV. It's a truly spectacular piece of movie magic.

I just found it aburd. It was charming, I know, but absurd - often at times it took me out of the movie. I do agree that it's a good example of a passion project (Didn't Ramis write the script?) but there's way better movies IMO. For example, here's a better movie:
