Favorite movie villain?

Everybody's got some favorite movie villains. Who are yours?

There are obvious ones like the Joker and Darth Vader. One less obvious one that I'm a big fan of is the Nurse from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Fantastic acting job... a truly despicable character.

The Joker for me. I also like The Riddler aswell, I wasnt a massive fan of Carrey until he I saw him play Riddler, he played that role perfectly.

Agreed. Rose was a dick, especially the old Rose we see at the beginning and end. Thousands of dollars were spent looking for that necklace she had, they spent even more money flying her to the location of the wreckage, she brings the necklace but doesn't tell them, then throws it into the sea and dies on their boat. Fuck Rose.

I have to say it felt great seeing Matt Damon's blood gets splattered on that plush white wall after Damon's look-alike "brother" Mark Wahlberg shoots him in the eye in the Departed. Considering the character's antics throughout the film although I kinda wish he did get exposed but a brutal end was some justice. And great use of that rat at the end, wonder how much he got paid for that cameo...

Also the T-1000.

Other than Ledger's Joker, I loved Nicholson in The Departed.

Captain Vidal from Pan's Labyrinth. Sergi Lopez strikes just the right balance with the performance, and no other character in recent memory has made me quite as angry as this guy.

Umbridge is even more unbearable in the novel, actually.

I can't remember his name, but I thought the villain from Chinatown was terrifying. Really creepy - an interesting depiction of how power can corrupt.

I'd also say Umbridge. Absolutely ruthless. The best thing about her, is that she honestly believed she was doing the right thing, so it made her own actions all the more justifiable (to herself).

Also Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds. He was great too.
